Chapter 53

-Hailee-

I waited until I heard the doorbell ring and my aunt got up to answer the door. She invited them in and I instantly saw the person I would want to see the least. Noah. Before he could say anything Maddie is already screaming my name and hugging me. I laughed at her as I pulled away from her hug.

"Maddie, I want you to meet Ally. Ally come here!" I called Ally over and she stood by my side. "Ally this is our friend Maddie. Maddie, this is my new sister, Ally." I introduced them.

"Hello Maddie." Ally said. Maddie smiled before replying.

"Hello Ally." She smiled. I could tell they were friends already when they ran off together. I grasped Justin's hand in my own, sending him a smile, which I got in return. Noah made his way over to me stopping in front of me.

"Hey Hailee. We missed you." He said in a flirty way.

"Yeah, hi Noah." Was all I said in return. He glanced at Justin sending him a glare.

"Justin." He spat still looking at him.

"Noah." Justin said in return. I could feel Justin tense, so I moved my finger in and down his hand softly, sending him a smile. He wrapped his free hand around my waist, as if he was protecting me from if Noah tried anything stupid. While I doubt would happen with so many people around.

"Come here Justin, I want to show you something." I smiled remembering a childhood memory. I pulled him out to the backyard and ran under the big tree that was back there. "Look up." I told him which he did. His lips curled into a smile.

"Wow." He said gazing up at Lila and my treehouse:

(Later I will post a pic of it)

"That was like my house when I was little. Lila and me spent everyday up there. You literally had to drag us down from it." I told him and he smiled.

"It's so cool!" He exclaimed and I laughed.

"Wanna go in it?" I asked him and he didn't hesitate to nod. I made my way up the ladder with Justin short behind me and crawled in it. Just getting in it brought back so many memories. I saw Justin looking around at all the junk that was laying around. I opened the door and sat down dangling my feet out of it. I patted the seat next to me and Justin came and sat down with me.

"I remember this one time, me and Lila were up here. I think we were like maybe seven or eight. But we were sitting here playing and Noah was up here with us and the doors were open and Noah being the dick he is pushed Lila and she fell out. I was like screaming and stuff and I was freaking out on Noah. But luckily she was fine." I told him the memory. Justin was looking at me listening to every word I said.

"She didn't get hurt?" He asked when I finished the story. I smiled.

"Well she did break her arm and ever since then Lila hates Noah and he was never aloud to come up here again." I explained making Justin smile. He looked down at the ground over the edge.

"At least it's not that far of a drop." He laughed. I smiled at how cute his laugh was. He looked back at me scooting closer and wrapping his arm around my waist. I rested my head on his shoulder, and he rested his head on him. I looked out at the sunset which was now forming over the horizon. Me and Justin sat there in silence. A comfortable silence though. He had my hand in his, gently stoking it with his thumb.

"Hailee! Justin! Dinner time!" I heard my mom shout from the back patio. Justin stood up, helping me up after him, and we both climbed down the ladder and walked to the patio. I slid the back door open walking in, Justin closing it behind him. We all grabbed burgers since that's what my aunt made, and sat down at the dinner table. My and Justin sat next to each other, of course. Ally and Maddie sat on Justin's side, since they begged to sit next to him. I guess he's a kid charmer too? Lila took a seat next to me, luckily she did before Noah. Justin held my hand under the table, but that obviously didn't work out since you need to hands to eat a burger. The whole dinner we laughed and had fun. I got caught up with Lila, and her boyfriend, Riley. The seemed good together from what I've heard. She seems happy too which is always good. And to think I once hated her.

After dinner, we decided it would be best to go check into the hotel. We said bye to everyone, even though we would most likely see them tomorrow. We piled into the car and drove off to the hotel, that wasn't far from my aunt and uncles house.

"Dad why did we even bring all our bags in the house if we weren't gonna stay there?" I asked once the question came across my head. He just shrugged not taking his eyes off the road. I looked at Justin who was looking out the window. I rested my head on his shoulder and he took my hand in his, softly kissing my forehead. After about ten minutes of driving, we got to the hotel. I took Ally in my arms as she slept and Justin grabbed my bag for me. I thanked him and we walked into the hotel. Dad checked into our two rooms and we went to the fourth floor where they were.

"We can take Ally if you want us to." I told my parents stopping in front of the room me and Justin were gonna share. My parents nodded and Justin unlocked the door. We stepped inside and he shut the door behind us. The room we had, had two beds so I set Ally down in one, covering her up with a blanket. I went to the bathroom, changed into my pajamas and then brushed my teeth. I crawled into bed and curled up. After a minute, I felt Justin climb in next to me, wrapping his arms around my waist. I smiled pecking his lips before burying my head into his bare chest.

"Goodnight baby." He whispered into my ear, his minty breath sending shivers down my spine.

"Goodnight Justin." I told him back before we both fell into a comfortable sleep wrapped in each others arms.
