Chapter 36

-Hailee-

"Hailee do you feel okay?" Mom asked me the next morning at the breakfast table. I knitted my eyebrows together and have a confused look.

"Uhh yeah.. Fine actually. Why?" I asked curious.

"Well you were sleepwalking last night. And I know that only happens when you are really sick." She said. I gave her a look.

"Really? I was sleep walking?" I asked. She nodded. I remember her telling me stories about me sleep walking and then the next day I would be really really sick.

"Yeah you were. And we didn't think you were asleep." Dad said.

"What did I say?" I questioned. Mom and dad looked at each other smiling.

"I don't really remember. All I remember was something about Justin and then something about school. And then something about Texas." She said. That sounds like me. I looked at the clock and saw it was time to go. I stood up and grabbed my bag.

"Bye!" I shouted and went outside to my car. I pulled out of the driveway and turned on the radio. I knew that if I slept walked last night I was bound to get suck any day now. And who knows how bad.
---------------------------------------------------------

After school I could feel the sickness kick in. My stomach and throat hurt like a bitch and I was very tired. My nose was stuffed up and I felt like I could throw up at any moment. Justin offered a ride home but I refused. He kept telling me to feel better and that if he had to he would ditch just to take care of me. Can u say, best boyfriend ever?

I grabbed all the blankets from my bed, changed into my pajamas and went downstairs to the couch. Guess I will be living here the next few days. I cuddled up in my blankets but then noticed my fever was making it to hot. I turned on the TV and watched all my favorite Disney movies for the rest of the night. When I heard my mom come home from work I was almost past out. I groaned waking back up. She came into the living room where I was.

"Hailee, are you okay?" She asked coming to sit next to me. I shook my head.

"I feel like shit." I said to her. She frowned.

"I'll get you some soup and medicine." She said hurrying to the kitchen. A few minutes later she came back with hot soup and some medicine.

"Thank you." I said. My voice was shaky meaning I was about to loose my voice. I sat up so I could eat, but soon regretted it. I ran to the bathroom only to get sick. This sucked. Every way I could possibly get sick, all happens at once. I returned back to the couch and took my medicine. I could barley keep my eyes open but I couldn't actually fall asleep. After an hour of feeling miserable, I finally fell asleep. I was so glad, less time of suffering.

The sound of the door bell woke me up. I didn't feel any better. Maybe even a little worse. I groaned and laid back down letting my mom answer the door. After she greeted the person I instantly knew who it was. I heard him walk to me and plant a kiss on my forehead.

"Hey babe. I got you something." He said holding up a bouquet of flowers and a 'get well soon' card. I smiled the first smile I have since feeling this miserable.

"Just set them on the table." I whispered because I couldn't speak any louder than that. He set them down and looked at me. He grabbed my hand and kissed it softly.

"Are you feeling any better?" He asked. I shook my head. I saw him frown. Even though I already slept, I was still very tired, making my vision blurry. "Well I hope you get better soon." He said. I smiled a little smile. We didn't say anything after that. Justin sat there holding my hand and brushing his fingers through my hair. It was relaxing and helped my take my thoughts off of the pain of my stomach and throat. He was quietly humming which made me feel comfortable and tired. Before I k we it, I was fast asleep again.
---------------------------------------------------------
-Justin-

I sat there with Hailee, but her even breaths told me she was sleeping. I felt so bad for her. She looked so miserable. I hope that I was comforting her in a way. I heard Hailee's mom enter the room and sit in the chair across from us. She was smiling at us.

"She really likes you being here. I can just tell." She said. I smiled looking at Hailee's still beautiful face. "She really loves you Justin." I smiled looking up at her mom.

"And I really love her." I told her. She smiled at me.

"Well then I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend for my daughter." She said. I smiled looking down. I was still holding her hand. Hailee's mom stood up and left the room. I thought about what she said. I was glad to hear that because I could never ask for a more beautiful, sweet, and loving girlfriend.
---------------------------------------------------------

My eyes fluttered open in the darkness. The only light was from the TV. I looked around seeing Hailee awake and watching TV. I sat up and she looked over at me and let out a wimpy smile. I smiled back.

"Hey babe." I said to her.

"Hey Juju." She whispered. "Can you do me a favor?"

"Anything for you." I told her. Se smiled weakly again.

"Can you get me a bottle of water?
And put those flowers in a glass of water?" She asked, her voice barely above a whisper. I nodded and got up,
picking up the flowers and taking them to the kitchen. I flipped the light on and grabbed a bottle of water. I filled up a cup of water and put the flowers in it. I looked at the clock and saw it was almost eleven o'clock. We must have been sleeping for a while. I went back into the living room and gave Hailee her water.

"I should probably head out. Let you rest." I said giving her a kiss on her hot forehead.

"Thank you Juju. I'll see you later. I love you." She whispered.

"Love you too." I said heading out. I went to my car and drove away. I had my music blasting and I was probably going over the speed limit. Because I was driving fast I reached my house in only five minutes. I pulled up in the driveway and saw a car parked on the side of the road. I've seen it before but I don't remember where. I got out of my car and started walking up to the front door when I saw someone sitting on the steps. As I got closer I could make out who. I just wanted to turn around and drive away.

"Finally you're home Justin!" She squealed.

"Karla what the fuck are you doing here?! It's like midnight!" I said.

"I wanted to see you." She fake smiled. We all know what she really came here for.

"How do you even know where I live?!" I shouted.

"Justin everybody knows where you live." She told me. I rolled my eyes as she stood up. Even in the dark I could see what she was wearing what a slut would wear:
Tight short dress and her boobs were sticking out

Yep. We all know what she came here looking for, I thought to myself.

"Anyway, where have you been?" She asked trying to be sexy. I rolled my eyes again.

"At my non slut girlfriends house." I mocked her. She sighed.

"Justin I just want to let you know that your relationship with her isn't going to last." She said putting her hands on her hips. I gave her a look and pushed past her so I could get to my door. I twisted the handle but the door was locked. Maybe that was a good thing. If it wasn't Karla might have just walked in. I reached in my pocket for my keys and unlocked the door. Karla pushed her way in before me.

"Karla get the fuck out." I demanded but she didn't listen.

"Omg! It's so nice and big in here!" She squealed. I stood in the door way, the door still open waiting for her to leave. She slowly walked over to me until she was standing right in front of me. Her high heels made her just as talk as me. "Common Justin. Lets have some fun." She said putting her hands on my chest.

"Karla what the fuck! Get out of my house! I don't know who you think you are! You think you just show up here and think I'm going to have sex with you!I have a girlfriend!" I yelled. I shut the door so the neighbors couldn't hear me yelling.

"She doesn't have to know about it." She said putting her hands up my shirt. I pushed her away ad she stumbled back. She whined.

"Karla I'm serious. Get out. Now." I said trying to stay calm.

"But Justin. You know you want to." She tried convincing me.

"No Karla I don't. I don't even like you. I don't know why you're so obsessed with me but can't you just face the fact that it is never going to happen between us. I know that we have done things before but it didn't mean anything! That was before I met Hailee." I tried telling her. "Now I'm going to tell you one more time, get the fuck, out of my house." She groaned and stomped her feet. "Here I'll show you out. The exit is to the right." I said opening the door. She gave me a look before storming out. I slammed the door behind her and headed upstairs. I changed into some sweats and took off my shirt. I sat down on my bed and picked up my phone deciding to text Hailee one last time before bed.

To:My Baby
From: Me

Goodnight Hails. I love you. I hope you feel better soon.

I hit send and put my phone on the nightstand, laying down. I don't know what Karla was thinking. She could just show up here and think she could get some of me. News flash, I'm not single. I laid in bed for what seemed like forever before I finally fell asleep.

-Hailee-

I woke up not feeling any better. The TV was still on and all the curtains in the windows were closed making it some what dark. I grabbed my phone from off the table seeing Justin's message from last night still up on the screen. I looked at the time seeing my mom was already gone for work. If I was going to school I would have been at lunch. I set my phone down and grabbed the remote switching through channels. Seeing nothing good on I turned it on to a movie. I was half way through 'Lady and the Tramp' when I heard the doorbell ring. I got up, my body weak, and walked over to the door. I swung it open and saw my one and only boyfriend standing with a smile on his face, looking cute as ever.

"Hey baby." He said. I held my arms out for a hug which he took instantly. We stood there for a minute before pulling away. He kissed my forehead and I shut the door.

"Common." He said standing in front of me, telling me to get on his back. I wrapped my arms around his heck and my legs around his waist, and he carried me back to the couch. He set me down and say next to me taking my hand in his. "Are you feeling any better?" He asked. I shook my head and he frowned. "Do you need anything?" He asked again.

"Just you." I said my voice shaky. At least my voice is getting better. He laughed and cuddled closer to me.

"Is that better?" He asked. I nodded.

"Shouldn't you be at school?" I questioned. He looked at me and smiled.

"Yeah but you're more important to me." He said. I smiled weakly.

"And that is why you're the best."
