Chapter 44

-Hailee-

"Oh my gosh." I cried when the movie was over. "That was so sad."

"Ah I wasn't that bad." Justin said. I have him a look.

"How is that not sad Justin?" I questioned. He just laughed.

"Because I'm not a girl. Girls think everything is sad. But it's a good movie." He answered.

"Yeah it is." I took the bowl of popcorn from the table next to the couch, putting it on my lap. "Catch." I said taking a handful. Justin opened his mouth and I threw it at him. I laughed when he only caught a few pieces out of the whole handful.

"At least I caught some." He laughed. "You try." He took the popcorn from my lap and threw some at me just like I did to him. Since I wasn't ready though, I didn't catch any. Justin started laughing hard.

"Justin I wasn't ready!" I laughed with him.

"Whatever." He joked.

"Honestly. I wasn't ready. But it's okay. I see how it is." I joked back. We were both still laughing when we heard the front door open.

"We're home!" We heard mom shout.

"We're in the living room!" I told her. I grabbed my phone seeing it was eleven o'clock.

"Hi guys." She said entering the room.

"Hi. Where were you?" I asked. She sat down on the chair across from us.

"We were with someone from your fathers work." She told me. I nodded.

"And where is he?" I questioned since he didn't follow mom in.

"He's in the kitchen I think." She answered getting up and heading to the kitchen. I turned to Justin seeing him smiling.

"What are you smiling about?" I playfully hit him on the arm.

"Nothin." He lied. I rolled my eyes and threw a pillow at him. I stood up walking up the stairs. He followed me up to my room, shutting the door behind him. I flopped down on the bed and Justin sat down next to me. It was mostly silent except for Justin soft humming. It was relaxing. I could hear stuff hitting my window so I got up, looking out the window.

"Oh my god Justin look." I said. He got up and walked over to me looking out the window.

"What? It's just rain." He said.

"Yeah. Rain. I haven't seen rain in forever." I told him.

"You just saw rain in that movie." He joked.

"Shut up." I laughed. "I mean like, I haven't been in the rain in forever."

"Lets go out there." He said.

"And play in the rain? Hell yeah!" I agreed. He laughed and we ran downstairs. Mom and dad looked at us. "It's raining!" I shouted running to the door. I swung it open standing on the porch. Justin was standing next to me.

"Ready?" He said taking my hand. I nodded. This is gonna be fun. We ran out getting soaked almost instantly. We were laughing and running around. I ran around the house to moms so called 'garden' and smirked. Mud.

"Justin come over here!" I shouted. Even though it was eleven at night I didn't care. It's not like our neighbors talked to us anyway. I heard Justin coming so I took a huge handful of mud. I hid by the corner of the house so when he came I could throw it on him. He came around the corner and I threw it all over him. I bursted out in laughter. Justin stood there with his jaw dropped and he laughed.
