I quickly opened the door to the dark house and flipped the switch making the lights illuminate the house. Once Penny noticed we were home she ran down the stairs and greeted us. "Hey buddy." Justin rubbed her fur and then she came to me. I did the same thing ad then made my way into the living room. I fell down on the couch as Justin came and sat next to me. He wrapped his arms around me and I rested my head on his shoulder.

"I had fun today." I told him looking up at his honey brown eyes. I watched as he smiled widely.

"I had fun too." He replied and then started leaning down to give me a kiss. Just as his lips brushed against mine the whole house went dark. I squealed slightly gripping into Justin's hoodie.

"Justin. What happened?" I whispered. I heard him chuckle.

"Power is probably out cuz of the rain." He told me. That was why we came home. Cuz it started pouting rain. "You know what that means?" Even though I couldn't see his face I knew he was smirking.

"What are you planning J?"

"It's time for hide and seek. In the dark!" He stood up making me giggle. We can be such kids.

"I hide, you count!" I told him not leaving him to argue before I ran off. "1.2.3...." I heard his start to count and I ran up the stairs as quiet as I could. "10.11.12...." I searched frantically for a good hiding spot. I came across the guest bedroom where we had a bunch of empty boxes stacked up in the closet. "30.31.32...." I climbed on the floor and curled up behind the stack of boxes and I faced the wall. "40.41.42...." I breathed quietly hearing him finishing up his counting. "49.50. Ready or not, here I come!" He shouted as I giggled. I hear him shuffling around downstairs trying to search for me. After a minute or two I heard him come up the stairs and go into our bedroom. "I'm gonna find you Hails!" I heard him making me smirk. He then went to the empty room next to the room I was in and then come out. He was coming here next. I heard him enter the room an look around the room. "I guess she's not in here." He half sang making my smile. Just then I felt someone grab me making me scream. "I gotcha!" Justin sad placing me back in my feet.

"Justin you scared the shit out of me." I breathed making him chuckle.

"Your turn! Go!" He said and ran out of the room. I rolled my eyes and started counting. 1.2.3.....47.48.49.50. "I'm coming to find you!" I shouted through the silent house. I crept through the halls and went I to our bedroom. I looked in the closet and the bathroom. Then under the bed and under the desk. He wasn't in here. Next I made my way to the stairs and quietly went down them. I stopped in the living room and stood still being silent. It was so silent I began to think I could hear my own heartbeat. Then I hear something fall over in the basement. Of course he was in the basement. I trudged down the steps and searched the empty space. There wasn't really anything to hide behind down here. I slowly walked around trying to see through the darkness until I heard feet on the steps. "God damn Justin." I cursed under my breath and followed him up the stairs. I heard him run through the kitchen and then it was silent again. I mentally cursed profanities to myself and I looked around near then kitchen. This kid was good a hide and seek. Then again, what is he not good at? I made my way down the hall and into the laundry room where I found him sitting in the dark corner.

"I found you!" I shouted making him stand up. He laughed a little and then walked over to me. "How did You get so good at this game?"

"I was the hide and seek champion. Even ask Ryan and Chaz. Chaz even cried one time because he couldn't find me." Justin replied making me laugh. Of course Chaz cried.
