Chapter 12
-Hailee-

I woke up to the sound of my phone blasting. I groaned and got up to grab it, reading the text.

From:Stephanie
To:Me

Hey you want to go to the fair with me and Justin today in like, and hour?

I smiled and replied with a yes. I hoped in the shower, rising my body and washing my hair. When I got out I changed in this:

(Black Skirt, White Cropped Top and Black Leather Jacket and Black Flats)

I dried my hair and decided to leave it in loose curls. I left my make up light and brushed my teeth. I smiled at my appearance and ran downstairs seeing my parents and Lila sitting at the table eating breakfast.

"Where are you going?" Dad asked.

"I'm going to the fair with Stephanie and Justin." I said.

"We'll why don't you take your cousin?" Mom added. I groaned.

"You know what happened last time we went to the fair together." I said.

"Yeah but your single now. And so now your taking her." Dad said.

"Alright but we have to leave. Like now." I said. Lila got up and walked to me.

"We'll I'm ready." She clapped. I grabbed my wallet and we went out the door. I got in my car and she got in the passengers seat, and we drove towards Stephanie's house. We got there and saw Stephanie and Justin throwing a ball back and fourth in the front yard. I pulled up and parked the car and got out.

"Hey!" Stephanie shouted.

"We got a tag along. I had to bring her." I groaned pointing at Lila.

"It's cool." Stephanie said and threw the ball onto the porch.

"Hey." Justin said walking to me.

"Hey Justin." I said.

"So were taking my car." Stephanie said grabbing her keys from the grass. We all went to her car and hopped in. I sat I. The back with Lila and Justin and Steph sat up front. The fair was really close to where we lived so it only took about five minutes to get there.

"So what first?" Justin asked. I looked around and smiled when I saw a haunted house.

"Lets go there!" I said and pointed at it.

"No, I don't do haunted houses." Stephanie said.

"Me either." Lila added.

"Aww come on. Will you go with me?" I asked Justin.

"Hell yeah." He said.

"Then you guys go. I'll stay here with Lila. We will meet you at the end." Stephanie said.

"Alright lets go!" I said and pulled Justin along with me. We ran to the entrance if the haunted house and went in. We walked for a few minutes and nothing happened, and I was walking in front of Justin.

"Ah come on. Nothing's happening." Justin groaned. Just then a man in a clown costume jumped out of the corner and I screamed hiding behind Justin. "Come on." We ran ahead and more things started to pop out and scare us. As we got to the end, I was practically in Justin's arms. A spot of light was ahead telling us it was the end. We started walking out.

"Was that scary?" Justin asked.

"No." I lied.

"It seemed like it when you were jumping in my arms." He joked. I hit his arm playfully and laughed. Justin stopped walking grabbing my arm and pulled me so our bodies were pressed against each other. "But it was fun right?"

"Yeah it was." I said and looked at the light shining on his beautiful face. Before I knew it, his lips crashed on mine. My arms wrapped around his neck and his hands were on my hips. I found myself wanting more, but were interrupted. A fat guy ran into us breaking us apart.

"Go make out somewhere else." He said as he passed us.

"Asshole!" Justin shouted and we walked out of the haunted house. I looked around and didn't see Steph or Lila.

"Didn't they say they were gonna be waiting?" I asked.

"Yeah. But you know Steph, they probably went to go something." Justin said and grabbed my hand pulling my with him.

"When are we going?" I asked as he pulled me away.

"To do something fun!" He said and we ended up in front of a basketball game. Justin gave the guy his coin and started shooting hoops. He didn't miss one.

"How do you do that?" I asked as he made every ball into the basket.

"I just have skill." He joked as he threw the last ball, making me laugh. The ball went into the hoop and I clapped.

"Congratulations!" The guy working the game said and handed Justin a giant teddy bear. Justin took it and held it out to me.

"For you." He said. I smiled and took it from him.

"Why thank you." I said and we walked away. I took his hand in mine and we started walking to a food stand.

"Come on, lets go get some food." Justin said and we ran to the stand. The guy greeted us and Justin ordered some cotton candy. We sat down on a bench and ate the cotton candy. I looked around and saw people riding paddle boats.

"Ohh Justin, lets go on those!" I said and pulled him to them. We got in one and started paddling out into the water. I laughed at Justin because he didn't know how they worked. "Justin it's like a bike, you have to pedal." He finally understood how it worked and we moved out in the water. The sun started to set on the water.

"It's beautiful." I said.

"Just like you." Justin said looking at me. I blushed and he leaned in, kissing my lips. I kissed back and I wanted this moment to last forever.

-Stephanie-

"Aww look at them." I cooed watching Hailee and Justin having fun on the paddle boats. Me and Lila decided to leave them alone for today and we hung out together. Lila is actually really cool. She's fun to hang out with. I don't know why Hailee hates her.

"There so cute together." Lila said.

"Lets take a picture of them." I said and pulled out my phone. I snapped a picture

"Awww." I said. "That's so cute."

"Okay, now it's my turn to pick what we do." I said as we got out of the paddle boat. I helped Hailee out of the boat and we walked back up the dock. "That." I said and pointed at the faris wheel

"Okay let's go." She said and we got in a cart. It started to move and lift us up. Hailee rested her head on my shoulder and I smiled. I wrapped my arm around her and we looked up at the stars.

"This is amazing." Hailee said. I looked at how happy she was and her beautiful blue eyes. She noticed me staring at her and looked at me.

"What are you staring at?" She asked smiling her beautiful smile.

"You have a beautiful smile." I said and she smiled more and blushed.

"Justin, why are you so nice?" She asked. I smiled and shrugged.

"I just am." I said and she laughed.

"Well, if your not even trying your pretty good at it." She said and we continued to stare out into the nice night.
