-Justin-
I woke up on the couch, Hailee's head resting on my stomach and her body laying between my legs. The TV repeated the same theme song on the play screen of our movie. I reached my hand out, running my fingers softly through Hailee's hair. I threw my head back onto the pillow thinking to myself that naps are always the best. I used my free hand to reach for the remote, turning off the TV. Penny laid on the floor, passed out just like we were. I reached in my pocket and pulled out my phone, seeing it was just after two in the afternoon. We had been napping for a while.
Hailee has been having contractions since yesterday, every hour or so. That can only mean this baby is coming soon.
Hailee's sudden movement scared me as she turned onto her back, gripping my basketball shorts in her hand. Her other hand was over her big stomach, her eyes squeezed tightly together. She let out a whimper and I shot up. "Hey, hey. You okay?" I asked rushed, putting my hands on my shoulder. She slowly nodded, the grip on my shorts loosening.
"I'm fine." She mumbled, keeping her eyes shut and taking deep breaths. "Just another contraction."
"Do you need anything?" I questioned once she sat up. She shook her head, looking at me with her beautiful blue eyes. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"J, I'm fine." She reassured. I nodded hesitantly, running a hand through my messy hair. I stood up, stretching out my arms. "I'm hungry." Hailee said, getting up to go to the kitchen. I followed behind her, watching her get some food from the cabinets. "Do you even know what a shirt is?" She joked, gently slapping my bare stomach. I chuckled and shook my head.
"I'm afraid I don't, Mrs. Bieber." I replied with sarcasm. She blushed at my name for her before shaking her head.
"There in our room. In the closet. You might find one hanging up." She said, giving me a small push.
"You don't like to see this?" I teased, flexing and running my hands over my abs.
"That's the problem. I want to see it and it's driving me crazy with hormones." She said bluntly. I laughed some.
"Just say it turns you on, baby." I whispered as I kissed her forehead and ran up the stairs to put a shirt on. I put in a simple black t-shirt from the closet before stepping into the bathroom. I ran my hands through my hair again, trying to get most of it to stick up in the same direction.
"Justin! Come here!" Hailee called from downstairs. I gave up with my hair and skipped down to the kitchen where Hailee was. When I walked in she was in the same spot, holding her stomach. "Justin, my water just broke." She rushed. Sure enough, it did.
"Shit." I cursed.
"Call you're mom, she knows what to do." Hailee said through gritted teeth.
"Common, we have to get to the hospital. I'll call her on the way." I grabbed her hand, walking so she could keep up with me. I grabbed my keys from the table by the door, grabbing some shoes for Hailee and I before quickly helping her into the car. I ran around and got in, backing out of the driveway as fast as I could.
"Justin don't kill us." Hailee breathed, scared shitless. She held her stomach, making a pained face every so often. I sped down the street not knowing how fast we would have to get to the hospital. This is my first kid after all. I pulled my phone out, calling my mom. She answered on five rings.
"Mom, Hailee's water broke." I said before she could say anything.
"Oh my, Justin." She said happily.
"We are on our way to the hospital now." I told her, trying to get around a car that was going slow.
"Good. Just tell the doctors what happened. They will take care of the rest." She told me before we said bye and hung up. Mom said she would be there soon.
