Chapter 35
-Justin-
"Justin, may I speak to you for a minute?" Hailee's father spoke. My nerves set in only wanting to stay want continue watching Aladdin with Hailee and the kids. Worriedly, I glanced at Hailee seeing her mouth 'just go'. I stood up and followed him outside. He took a seat on the porch chairs and motioned for me to sit also. Once I sat, he started talking.
"Don't get me wrong, I know you are a nice guy and you will take good care of my daughter. I'm happy for you two also. I just hate seeing my little girl growing up so fast. I just wish you guys would have waited longer to start a family because we don't know of something will happen, and you will leave her." Her dad rambled on. I mentally slapped him for even thinking I would ever leave Hailee.
"Look Mr. Ellis, I love your daughter with all my heart. I would never leave her. Especially now. I can promise you I will treat her like a princess." I told him, trying to reassure him that nothing bad is going to happen. He remained silent, as if he was processing a thought.
"She deserves being treated the way you treat her. I know you treat her like a princess already. I am glad she found a guy like you but, what I'm trying to say is I don't want to see her heartbroken because of stupid mistakes." He said. I shook my head becoming annoyed at him.
"And what I'm trying to say is nothing is going to happen to make her heartbroken, sir." I stated, anger present in my voice. "Why do you just assume that something bad is going to happen?" I wondered, thinking about it.
He pursed his lips and looked off in the distance. "I don't. But I'm just thinking of the possibilities. Who knows, maybe you will do something you regret."
"I won't." I said harshly. I heard him chuckle.
"Look Justin, you know I haven't liked you from the beginning. I still think my daughter could have done better but I guess she's happy. I would watch my back if I were you." With that said, he stood and went back inside. I felt like weight was being lifted off my shoulders when he was inside. I hadn't noticed I was breathing heavily until I felt my chest rising and falling harshly. I shut my eyes for a minute and opened them again seeing the sun was just starting to set. We have been here longer than I thought.
I felt goosebumps rise on my skin as I thought about his last words. Watch my back? I knew he never actually liked me dating Hailee. His 'yeah I like Justin' act was all a lie.
Some part of me started thinking that he was planning something. Something to get rid of me. That would explain 'me doing something to make Hailee heartbroken'.
Well I am not going anywhere, and I won't let anything come between me and Hailee.
"Justin?" I heard, causing for me to jump slightly. I turned in the chair I was still seated in, seeing Hailee standing there with a worried look.
"How long have you been there?" I asked standing up and walking across the porch to her.
"I heard everything." She admitted. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair. "Justin, I'm not going to let him do anything. I promise. My dad can be crazy. Hell, he's keeping so many secrets from my mom and I." She whispered, her voice cracking slightly. I noticed her eyes glaze over and a single tear escaped. I instantly pulled her into my chest and protectively wrapped my arms around her.
"Shh, it's okay. Everything's okay. Hailee, look at me." I ordered, as she slowly met my gaze. "I promise you I won't let him hurt you or your family. If he is planning something I won't let him lay a finger on anybody."
"Justin, I think we need to talk." She whispered, wiping her tears. She got out of my grip and sat down on the porch steps, me sitting next to her. "I was just talking to my mom and se said that my dad has never approved of you. I wouldn't know why because you haven't given him a reason to hate you. But I guess he just does. My dad is actually bipolar. Sometimes he will act like he likes you a lot. And other times he's gonna hate you. But no matter what my father thinks, I'll never leave you." Hailee explained.
"I guess my mother never told us this because she just wanted everything to be perfect. And I think it is. I won't let anything happen to us, Justin." More tears fell from her cheeks.
"Baby, don't cry." I told her, pulling her into my lap. "Just because your father doesn't like me doesn't mean I'm going to give up on you. You know that. He won't break us apart no matter how many threats I get from him." I comforted her, mostly confused by this whole situation.
Basically, her father wants us apart. He doesn't like me. But he is obviously a step behind. Me and Hailee are married and going to have a family soon. Nothing, and I mean nothing, will tear us apart.

-Hailee-
We had decided to take Ally, Jazzy, and Jaxon home with us since my dad was fuming. They all sat in the back seat, giggling to each other. I smiled at there cuteness and caressed my thumb over Justin's knuckles.
"Hailee?" I heard Ally speak, and I hummed in response, turning to look at her. "Are you and Justin gonna have a baby?"
"Yes sweetheart, we are." I replied sending her a sweet smile. Her and Jazzy whispered something to each other and giggled. I heard Justin chuckle and brought our hands up to his face. He placed small kisses on my knuckles and then pressed them onto his cheek, keeping them there.
"Wanna stop at McDonalds for dinner?" Justin asked. We heard all three of the kids squeal and say 'yes' repeatedly.
"I think that answers your question." I muttered followed me a small giggle. Justin nodded and made a quick turn into the McDonalds parking lot.
Once he had parked we all climbed out of the car, Jazzy and Ally running and I carrying Jaxon. Justin took my other hand and we walked in the building. We ordered the food and ate, filling us up. Ally, Jazzy, and Jaxon all ran off to play on the play place leaving me and Justin to sit and watch them. I leaned on Justin's shoulder and he wrapped his arm around my waist, kissing my head. I looked up at him and pecked his lips before cuddling into his chest. The faint screams and laughs of the many kids in the playground area was heard.
"I don't understand." I said getting deep into thought, speaking my mind.
"You don't understand what?" Justin asked, letting me know I was thinking out loud.
"Why my dad hates you. There is no reason to hate you. I mean, you're perfect." I explained earning a chuckle from Justin.
"Baby, I'm far from perfect. But if you think so than I am. Just for you." He said makin me grin.
"You have never done anything to me that should make my father hate you." I said putting emphasis on 'my'.
"Hails, I don't care what your father thinks. I love you. I'm in this relationship for you. Not your father. I am not in love with your dad now, am I?" I replied causing for me giggle.
"No you don't love my dad. You love me." I said looking at him. He smiled and nodded.
"Yes. I love you." He said again.
"I love you too." He went in for a kiss and I decided to tease him. Once his lips got close enough, I turned my head making him kiss my cheek instead of my lips. He groaned cutely and I giggled, pulling my head away when he tried to do it again.
"Stoop.." He whined like a little kid and I laughed at his cuteness. I finally let him kiss me, giving me a sweet, passionate kiss.
"Eww you're kissing!" Jaxon's little voice was heard, making me pull away from Justin's sweet lips.
"Oh you know you want one." I teased him, grabbing his small body and pulling him onto my lap. I started attacking his face with kisses making him squeal in laughter.
Someday I'm going to be able to do this with a child of my own. And no words can describe how excited I am for that.
