Chp. 37

Two weeks after telling my parents about the pregnancy, they left back home to Texas. They had stayed a week longer than they had planned which made me realize how much I am going to miss them. My mom had rambled on and on telling me that they will be back a few days before my due date. You could say I was staring to have many thoughts about the baby. Who will it look more like? Me or Justin? Is it gonna be a girl or a boy? What will we name it? What of something goes wrong?

I have done my best keeping all the negative thoughts out of my mind and focused only on the good. Being almost two and a half months pregnant, I have just barely started growing a baby bump. It's barely noticeable but I can tell it's only going to start getting bigger in a few days. Pattie calls regularly to check in but every time I reassure her that everything is fine. I also know that Justin is only going to get more protective over the months and he's never gonna leave my side. He already doesn't leave my side. Not that I'm complaining.

We were currently sitting on the couch just talking. I like moments like this when we just cuddle and speak what's on our minds. He had one arm wrapped around my waist and my legs fell over his, our hands intertwined. I stared at his features as he messed around with my hand. The way his hair was always in the perfect quiff and his his cheeks always looked so soft. I looked at his honey brown eyes and his plump pink lips. I studied his perfectly sculpted jawline and the way his he would occasionally lick his lips or furrow his eyebrows.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked him, breaking the comfortable silence that filled the living room. He turned to face me when he heard my voice.

He smiled his beautiful smile. "Us." He simply replied.

"What about us?"

"How much I love you." He said cutely. I giggled and kissed his cheek softly.

"I love you, too." I told him back, causing for him to get his barely noticeable blush. I giggled and leaned my chin on his shoulder so I could look up at him and him to look down on me. I smiled at him and
His smile grew, grabbing my cheeks.

"Look at my baby's cheeks. So cute." He said through puckered lips causing for his voice to go high.

"You sound like such a dork." I laughed, pulling my face from his hands. He chuckled just as Penny came running into the room, jumping right on top of us. We both laughed as she got comfortable right where she wanted. I used my free hand to stroke her fur which only caused her to fall asleep faster.

"So, what should we do today?" Justin spoke up, resting his head on my shoulder. I shrugged.

"What sounds like fun?" I asked him, letting him decide what we would do. He put his face in the crook of my neck and sighed. I felt his warm breath on my neck, giving me goosebumps.

"Ummm...." He carried out. "Hockey." He mumbled making me giggle.

"I guess we could. I need a girl and if Ryan comes so will Stephanie." I thought and I heard him whisper a victory yes. He quickly got up, causing for Penny to chase him up the stairs. As he neared the top I heard a loud thud and then him yell "I'm okay".

I laughed and headed upstairs. When I came to our room, I noticed Justin, as usual, fixing his hair in the mirror. It hasn't even been two minutes since I agreed to going to the ice rink and he already has his usual hockey clothes on.

"You know for being a boy, you sure do care about your hair and you care about your clothes like a girl does." I teased making him turn around and lean lean on the counter.
