Nezther

The doorbell rings around 7 p.m. I pull myself out of Jason's grasp and walk to the door. Everyone's here, so I don't know who it could be, I think to myself.

"Kinsley?" I furrow my eyebrows. "What're you doing here?"

"He kicked me out," she whispers, "I couldn't think of anywhere else to go."

I pull her into a hug. "You are always welcome here," I squeeze her tightly. "We have some people over right now. You and I can sneak upstairs and talk," I show her into the house.

I show her up to the guest bedroom. "This is such a terrible question, Nezther. But is there anyway you can get me a job? I don't want to be here any longer than I need to be."

I nod as I hear someone coming up the stairs. "Of course, but that's not the problem at hand. What exactly happened?" I sit on the bed.

Jason walks in with a confused look on my face. "He slapped me," Kinsley says quietly.

"What the fuck?" Jason snaps as he walks in and closes the door.

"He told me he was in love with Nezther and I told him to go fuck himself so he slapped me," she explains. "Then I started crying and he told me to leave. He left a bunch of money on the counter so he didn't have to say anything to me. I grabbed my valuables and left. I'm sorry for not asking to come. I couldn't think of anyone else I trust like I trust you guys."

"You're always welcome here," Jason tells her. "We're having a small party right now, you're welcomed to come down. If you don't want to, I totally understand. There's towels in the closet in your connected bathroom and there should be some soaps. Let one of us know if you need anything. Whether it's a hug or it's a few bucks." And with that, he walks out.

Kinsley turns to me. "I need a hug," she sniffles. I quickly wrap my arms around her neck. She wraps her arms around my waist, sobbing against my shoulder. I cringe as she tightens her grip on me. "I hate him."

After about twenty minutes, Kinsley follows me downstairs. "KINNY!" Jasper screams as he runs to her. He kisses her cheeks multiple times. "You said you weren't comin' home wif me," he smiles at her.

"I changed my mind. I missed you too much," she smiles back at him.

I place myself on Jason's lap. "So when can we expect another baby? Or the wedding, have you started planning it?" My friend from work, Kiera, asks.

I wrap one arm around Jason's neck and the other on his forearm which was set on my thighs. "We're actually working on another baby," I smile at her. "And we haven't even talked about the wedding yet. We aren't in any rush."

"I am, I'm gonna be thirty this year," Jason jokes.

I kiss his forehead. "So we'll start planning soon," I whisper to him.

"Who is the wedding party going to consist of?"

Everyone looks at us expectantly. "No wedding talk right now," Jason stares at Kinsley. "We'll talk about it when we plan it."

We spent the rest of the night talking and drinking. Jason and I had a few beers each, he also did a few shots with his friends. After everyone left, we set Jasper down to bed. Kinsley went to bed an hour ago.

"Wanna- wanna try again?" Jason slurs slightly.

"Yeah, can you just watch out for my stitches? They've been bugging me today," I whisper as he climbs over me. He nods, pressing his lips to mine.
