I watch as Mommy reads us all a story. Daddy sits at the counter of the mini kitchen in our room and Carson is asleep on the bed next to us. "Okay, all done. Time for bed," she kisses all our heads. She tucks Jasper into bed with Carson and tucks Gracie and I in the bed we were sitting on. "Goodnight, babes. I love you."

I wrap my arms around her neck. "I love you, Momma," I kiss her cheek.

Gracie does the same thing. "I love you, girls. Sweet dreams," she smiles.

"Mom?" Jasper calls her. She sits on the edge of our bed and looks over at him. "Are you leaving?"

She shakes her head. "Of course not," she sighs. He nods, closing his eyes. I do the same and drift off to sleep.

"You don't tell me what to do," I hear Daddy grumble. "Is that understood? Don't ever, ever disrespect me like that in public again."

I open my eyes to see him holding my Mom against the wall. "Y-Yes," she cries out.

He tightens his hand around her neck. "I should have done this before you made me leave for a long time," he snaps as she gasps to air. "Then you wouldn't disrespect me."

I sit up with a gasp. Kinsley looks over at me with furrowed eyebrows. "What's wrong?" She walks to my side of the bed. "Did you have a bad dream?"

I nod, looking around the room for my parents. "Where's Mommy and Daddy?" I whimper.

"They went to go take a bath together."

"Is he hurting her?"

"No, sweetheart," she smiles warmly, "they're just talking."

I lay back down, "Is Momma okay?"

Just as she was going to answer, they walk out of the bathroom. "Jenny? What's wrong, baby?" Mom walks over to me.

"I had a bad dream," I tell her.

"What about?"

I glance at Daddy then back at her. "D-Dad was hurting you," I mumble.

Dad turns and walks to his suitcase. He pulls out clothes, going to the bathroom and slamming the door. Mommy jumps at the sudden noise. She sighs and stands up. I watch her enter the bathroom with him.

"Is he mad at me?" I ask Kinny.

She shakes her head. "No, babe, he's mad at himself."

Jasper hops off his bed and climbs into mine. "You're okay, sis," he pulls me into a hug.

"M-MOMMA!" Carson screams from his place on his bed. Kinny stands up and walks over to my baby brother. "No!" He pushes her away.

Mommy comes out of the bathroom quickly. "Come here, baby," she lifts him up. "Shh, baby, Momma's here," she kisses his forehead. Dad slowly comes out of the bathroom. Mom looks at dad, nodding him over. "Come on," she says. He walks over to her. "Okay, Carson. Mommy has to get the girls up. Go to Daddy," she starts to place him in his arms.

"NO!" Carson sobs loudly, clinging onto Mom.

She kisses his cheek. "It's just Daddy, see?" She places him in Dad's arms.

Carson sniffles as he wipes his eyes. "Hi, Bubba," Dad smiles down at him.

"H-Hi," he sniffles again.

"Okay, girls," mom turns to us. "Up and at 'em."

Jason

My wife stands with her arm around my waist as we watch the kids swim. "We have such an amazing family, don't we?" I lean my head on top of hers.

"Yeah," she sighs.

Leigh splashes with the younger kids. "I know I apologized this morning, but I'm going to try so, so hard to be better. I'm so sorry, baby. This family and life we've built together is absolutely amazing. And yeah, we haven't had the most perfect lives, but they're ours. They're so far from perfect but I wouldn't change it for anything. You're the love of my life, Nezther, and I can't apologize enough for everything I've put you through." I kiss my wife's head several times. "I love you so much," I whisper, "I'm so sorry."

She turns so the front of our bodies are pressed together. "I love you," she says before kissing my lips. I grip her waist tightly as I kiss back.

My angel deserves so much better than I can give her.

She pulls away slowly, tangling her fingers in my hair. "We're gonna move past this, right? It's over and done with, we're starting new," she nods to get clarification from me.

I nod, "yes, we're starting over." I kiss her forehead gently.

"Great," she smiles, "now let's get in the pool with our family."

"Wait," I gently tug her back to me. "Are you really pregnant again?"

Nezther sighs and runs her fingers through her hair. "No, my period was a few days late. I just got it this morning."

I kiss her head. "This gives us time to talk about it and talk to the kids about it, right? We don't need another baby right now," I offer her a smile.

"Right," she grins up at me.
