I sigh heavily, knocking on the door. Kinsley opens it, blinking to process I'm here before jumping into my arms. "Jason asked me to come today," I whisper to her.
She shows me into the house where everyone was sitting in the living room. "Guys, he's here," Kinsley clears her throat.
Jasper runs over to me and hugs my legs. I lift him up, hugging him back. Jason and Nezther walk over to me. "I have to talk to you alone," he whispers.
Jasper goes to the girl who I assume is Nezther's sister. We walk into the kitchen. "So you're serious about this, huh?" I wrap my arm around Jason's shoulder.
He nods, leaning into me. "Yes," he sniffles. "I just- I don't... I want someone to check up on Nezther once in a while. I know you planned on staying for a week and you and Kinsley going home after that, but I'd be much more calm if you guys stayed until I got back. I don't want her to have to go through the roughest part of the pregnancy alone," he hugs me.
I hug him back. "Anything for you, Jace. How about I stay at a hotel a few minutes away and I can check up on her every other day," I suggest.
"Perfect. Thank you, Justin."

Kinsley holds Jasper on her hip, Leigh on next to her, and me on the other side. We watch as Jason and Nezther say their goodbyes. "I don't want my daddy to leave," Jasper whines.
"He's doing this for you, Jasper," I tell him.
"Why?"
"Well, he's extremely sick. And if he doesn't go away for a short period of time now, he'll go away forever," I try my best to explain it.
Nezther stands in the same place she said goodbye to her fiancé as she watches him walk away. He blows her a kiss and waves to us. She stood there for a few minutes before we walked up to her.
I wrap my arm around her shoulders. "Come on, Nes. He'll call you tonight," I whisper.
She nods, walking to the car with us. Kinsley and Leigh climb in the front, while I sit in the back with Jasper and Nezther.
"Mommy, daddy said I can sleep in your bed before he left," Jasper tells his mother proudly.
She smiles over at him. "You can keep his spot warm for him," she whispers.

Later that same night, we all gathered in the living room to watch a movie. About a quarter of the way through it, Nezther jumped up with her phone in her hand. "Hi, baby!" She squeals.
I chuckle as she walks out of the room. "She's funny," her son laughs.
"She is, isn't she?" I pull him into me.
After a few minutes, she returns. She tosses her phone on the couch before racing out of the room again. I furrow my eyebrows and follow her. I find her in the restroom, throwing up. I kneel down next to her and rub her back gently.
"You're okay," I whisper to her crying figure. She still cries when she gets sick, I note to myself. "Being pregnant sucks, huh?" I chuckle as she flushes the toilet.
Nezther shrugs as she stands up and rinses her mouth. "It's all worth it in the end," she turns to me.
"I want a baby," I blurt out.
"Well, stop being a dickhead and you won't have a problem holding down a girl," she pats my chest before walking out of the bathroom. She could've been nicer about it. I grunt before walking back to the television room.
