"No way," I breathe out. "I-I... is this for real?" I stammer. Jason nods, taking the ring out of the box and sliding to the floor.

My hot tears make their way down my cheeks when I cover my mouth. "Nezther," he smiles up at me. "I love you, more than I can put into words. This-" he motions between us, "-is something special. We have something no one else will ever have and I want to salvage that for the rest of our lives. Will you marry me?"

"Jace," I whisper. "How could I say no?" He smiles brightly, sliding the ring onto my left ring finger. He pulls me down to his lap. I bury my face in his neck and wrap my arms around him. He holds me tightly. "I love you so much," I mumble.

He kisses my head. "I love you too, baby."

"Yay!" I hear a shriek before tiny arms wrap around both of us.

I keep my head in Jason's neck. He rubs my back before speaking to our son. "Hey, Bud? How about you go get mommy and daddy a blanket?" He asks softly.

"Of course, Daddy!" He exclaims.

I hold onto my boyfri- fiancé as tight as I can. "I can't believe this," I finally speak up. "I- this is so overwhelming."

He lifts my chin to kiss my lips softly. "You can show off your ring to everyone who comes tomorrow," he smiles warmly. I lean my head on his shoulder and stare down at my gorgeous ring. "We should get you to bed, Jasp. Mommy and Daddy are tired," I look up to see my son sitting on the couch.

"Can I seepy with you?" He asks sweetly.

Just as I was going to say yes, Jason cuts me off. "Not tonight, bud. Santa is coming and he won't bring your presents unless you're in bed."

We stand up, i stretch in the process. "Come here, baby," I open my arms.

Jasper wraps his arms around my neck and I lift him up. "I'm gonna kiss you now, I gotta go get something ready," he kisses Jasper's forehead. "I love you, buddy. Sweet dreams."

"I love you too, Daddy," Jasper yawns.

"And you," Jason presses his lips to my ear. "I'll see you upstairs."

I jump when he smacks my butt before jogging upstairs. "He's crazy," Jasper giggles.

I kiss both of his cheeks. "He is crazy, baby," I agree.

"You're so cute," Jason pokes my nose.

I frown, scrunching it up. "But I'm serious," I whine.

He nods, "I know, Nes. So am I, you're so cute." I lean my head on his chest. "We can start planning tomorrow. I don't want to go right away, though."

"Me neither," I shrug. "We should go for Jasper's birthday," I suggest.

He nods again, this time in agreement. "That'll be perfect. It'll give us a month to plan ahead and he'll be three, so he'll remember it," he yawns.

"Mhm," I snuggle closer to him.

"I love you," he rubs my bare back.

"I love you too."

.

I woke up the next morning, tangled in Jason's arms as he talks to our son. "No, I didn't. Mommy did, that's why she only got one bed," Jasper whines.

"Did she yell in her sleep?"

"Yes," I feel the bed shift a little. "She was hurting herself too. She scratched her arms a lot."

I let out a whimper as I move closer to Jason. He rubs my back a little. "Are you awake, Princess?" I nod my head, opening my eyes the slightest bit.

Jasper lays his head in front of mine then kisses my cheek. "Hi, momma," he caresses my cheek.

I smile at him tiredly. "Hi, baby."

"I told Daddy about your bad dreams. I told him how I hold-ed you when you woke up, too!"

I close my eyes again, groaning. "Why didn't you tell me, Babe?" Jason rubs my shoulder gently.

"I didn't want to worry you," I shrug.

He kisses my forehead. Jasper jumps up. "Okay, stop talking! It's present time, 'member?"

I giggle as Jason chuckles at our son's enthusiasm. "I'll meet you down there," I tell them. Jace takes him out of the room. I let out a sigh and lift my left hand. I squeal as I look at my ring. "I love him," I say to myself.

I get up and throw in a pair of panties and Jason's shirt from yesterday. "Yay!" Jasper exclaims as I step into the living room. "Mommy's here! Can I start now!?"

"Of course," my fiancé replies.

I sit between his legs, leaning my back against his chest and my head on his shoulder. He wraps his arms around my waist. I place my hands on top of his just as Jasp starts opening his first present.
