"Mm, what's cookin', good lookin'?" Jason walks into the kitchen.
I smile at his cheesy line. "I'm making Japanese Chicken Katsu," I inform him.
He walks up behind me, staring at my hands. "Why so fancy? And where is everyone?" He steps back, leaning against the counter next to the stove.
"It's Valentine's Day?" It comes out more of a question than a statement. "I figured I would make dinner and we could spend sometime together," I mumble.
His face lights up. "I have your gift upstairs! It's perfect- just like you- you're going to love it!" Before I can register what just happened, Jason is running up the stairs.
By the time he comes downstairs dinner is done. I set it on two plates with some white rice and a bottle of soy sauce. "It's done, babe," I tell him.
He sets a red gift bag on the table. "Open it first," he says excitedly.
I take the tissue paper out, pulling the box out also. I take the ribbon off the box slowly and open up the box. "Jason," I whine.
He grins at me. "Do you like it, baby? I tried my best to keep it simple so you could wear it any day," he looks down to the necklace.

"It's beautiful," I whisper. "Thank you so much, babe. I love you," I set it down on the table. I walk over to him, wrapping my arms around his neck. "Thank you, Jace," I whisper.
He kisses the side of my head. "Anything for you, my queen. Can we eat now? This looks delicious," he pulls out of my arms.
I nod, sitting back down in my seat. We share a joy filled meal with plenty of conversation exchanged. After dinner, we moved to the living room. We ended up watching The Best Of Me (my favorite movie!) whilst cuddling. Jason's hands slowly ran up and down my back in a soothing manor. I glanced up when the movie was over to see his eyes closed. I move off of him then position him so he'd be comfortable. He shifts a bit in his sleep, subconsciously making room for me. I cuddle into his chest and pull his arms around me.
Our Valentine's Day was spent sleeping and cuddling, but neither of us minded. We don't really cuddle anymore because Jason normally works until late. It was nice to be in his arms.
