Doing a double update because I have ten chapters done. ❤

I walk into Gracie's room. "Gracie?" She looks up at me. "Are you okay?" She just blinks, not replying. "Why won't you talk to me?"
"Rude," she mumbles.
I smile, "there we go. Who's rude, me?"
She nods, "and Jenny and Scarlett."
I wrap my arms around my younger sister. "I just joke with you, G."
"I want to be alone."
I sigh heavily, but walk away from her. Daddy and Mommy both stop me. "Go back in, we're coming," dad pushes me back in.
"No," G says as we all walk in.
"Yes," mom says back. She sits on the bed next to my sister and pulls her into her lap.
Grace looks up. "Why you cryin'?" She wipes Mom's tears away.
She cradles Gracie against her. "Because you said you want a new family," she whispers. "My smart, beautiful baby wants a new family. You're my little soldier, Gracie. Mommy thought she was gonna lose you when you were born and now I feel like I'm going to lose you again."
Dad sits next to her, wrapping his arm around them. I climb into his lap. "We don't want you to want a new family," I tell her.
Jenny waddles into the room with Uncle Abel, Kinny, and Aunt Leigh behind her. "Guys, can you please go back downstairs? She won't talk in front of you," dad says nicely.
"Momma," she mumbles.
Mom rocks her back and forth as she starts crying. "My baby," mom starts crying too.
Daddy stands up. "We'll let them talk. How about you and I go to the store? We have to get somethings for Leigh's birthday party."

Nezther took Gracie up to her and Jason's room for a nap. Jason took Jasper and Jenny to the store to get some stuff for my birthday party in a couple days. Kinsley and I are making dinner for everyone.
"What do you want for your birthday?" She asks softly.
I look over to see her leaning against the island. I shrug, jumping up to sit next to her. She moves in front of me. "I haven't really thought about it. Nezther said she wanted to take me shopping sometime next week so I could pick everything out myself."
"Oh yeah?" She parts my legs to stand between them. "Sounds so fun," she leans up to press her lips against mine. I wrap my arms around her neck and my legs around her waist. "I can't believe you're gonna be seventeen." She pulls away.
I touch my tingling lips. "Me neither. Seems like just yesterday I came to live here," I sigh heavily.
She nods, her back to me as she places the chicken in the oven. "Have you thought about telling Nezther and Jason yet?" She says referring to our relationship.
I shake my head even though she can't see me. "I want to tell them after you have the baby," I whisper.
"What?" She turns to me. "But that's eight months from now. I can't wait that long, babygirl."
I avoid her eyes. "I'm just nervous, Kin." I bite my lip.
She walks back over to me. "Nervous for what? Nezther and Jason are so supportive of everything, you know that. I want you to tell them before your birthday so I can officially make you mine," she places her hands on my thighs.
"I'm nervous for that, too," I mumble.
"Mm," she leans up to my lips again. "Don't be, baby. We can deal with that when it comes," she kisses me deeply. I moan as she grabs my left breast. Her other hand reaches down to my bum and pulls me closer to her. "I want you so bad," she sighs as she pulls away.
I look down to my lap. "What do you think Nezther and Jason are going to say?"
She grabs cups from the cupboards. "I honestly don't know, babe. But nothing is going to take you away from me."
The front door opens, causing me to get off the counter. "I'm gonna go talk to Nezther," I whisper in Kinsley ear before kissing it. I dash up the stairs. "Nes?" I knock a few times. "I really need to talk to you."
She opens the door, rubbing her eyes. "What's wrong, Leigh?"
"It's super important."
"Alright, come in. Just be a little quiet, Grace is still asleep."
I step into the room. "I'm not going to beat around the bush because– never mind. I'm in love with Kinsley and we've been together for eight months and I really don't want to keep it from you anymore." She has a blank expression on her face for the longest time. "I knew I shouldn't have said anything. I'm sorry–"
"No," she rubs her face. "It's okay. Where's Kinsley?"
"She's–"
"I'm right here," Kinsley steps in.
"I'll talk to Jason about this later, okay? The only thing I can really say about it right now is keep it in the house for now. Leigh isn't even eighteen yet and you're twenty six, just make sure no one else knows."
"You aren't mad?" Kinsley asks as she wraps her arms around me.
Nezther shakes her head. "No, not at all. I understand that you can't keep love confined and I'm not going to make you." She offers a warning smile. "I want you both happy and if this makes you happy," she motions between us. "Then who am I to stop you?"
