Abel

I walk through the mall with Nezther, carrying her bags for her. "So he wants you to go into your little space? What's so bad about that? You've told me before you wish you could because you're so stressed," I furrow my eyebrows.

We sit at a table in the food court. "Nothing is bad about it. I just– what if something happens to someone and I can't get out of my headspace?" She lifts her foot to her lap, sliding off her flip flop to massage it.

"Stop with the what if's," I chuckle. "What about this holiday you're going on after thanksgiving? You're going to be with his aunts, right? You can take a couple days off."

She's quick to shake her head. "Oh no, I have never met them and I-I don't want them to think I'm some immature bitch who married Jason for his money and good looks," she chews on her bottom lip. "By the way, are you and Kiera doing anything? Do you guys maybe wanna come with us?"

"I'd have to see if Bella would let me take Savannah," I shrug. "But yeah, we aren't doing anything." I look around at the different food choices. "What do you want to eat? I'll go get it, your feet look bad," I frown.

She looks down. "Every time I've been pregnant, my feet swell up to the size of the fucking Eiffel Tower. But that's besides the point. I can get my own food."

"Are you and Jason still fighting?" I blurt out. "We can stay here for a bit longer if you want."

Nezther chews on her bottom lip as she stares at me. "I don't know. We haven't talked today, he normally calls me around noon if I'm not home."

I just nod. "Stay here and I'll go get us some tacos," I stand up and walk off.

I set my things on the counter. I glance around, but there is no sign of anyone being here. That is until I see Jason come out of the bathroom attached to the kitchen.

"Where've you been?" He asks with a small snarl.

"I went to the meeting, then Abel and I went to the mall so I could get some Christmas shopping done," I inform him. He rolls his eyes and starts to walk out. "Jace?" He stops, keeping his back to me. "I love you. I know I haven't been the best at showing it or showing that I care or even telling you for that matter, but I do, with all my heart. You mean everything to me."

He slowly turns to face me. "You mean it?" I nod quickly. "Even after everything?"

"Of course, love. If anything, I should be asking you that," I furrow my eyebrows. "How're you feeling today?"

A single tear slips down his cheek. "Like I need cuddles and cake," he murmurs.

I giggle at his request. "What kind of cake? I have to pick the kids up in two hours so nothing huge," I walk over to him.

I wrap my arms around his neck and his go around my waist. "Can we skip the cake?"

"Sure," I whisper, "if that's what you want." He nods, leaning down to press a kiss to my lips. "Did you take any cold medicine today?" Jason shakes his head and leans in for another kiss. I place my finger on his lips. "Momma can't get sick while she's pregnant," I smirk.

He chuckles against my finger, grabbing my wrist and kissing the back of my hand. "I'll take some when we get upstairs." I walk upstairs behind him with my hand in his. "I want six kids," he tells me as we walk up the second set of stairs to our room.

"Let's stick to four and see how we are in a couple years," I giggle.

"What if we aren't together in a couple of years?"

I sigh heavily, tugging away from him. "Jace, don't say things like that, babe."

"Why? What if we aren't, Nes?"

"Jason, stop."

"No," he shakes his head stubbornly. "Answer me."

"No," I repeat. "Stop saying that, Daddy," I whisper.

This causes him to immediately bring me into his arms. "Two hours?" I nod against his chest. "Can you be my baby for two hours?"

"I can be you's baby forever," I whimper.
