Six weeks later «» Nezther
I climb into the back of the cab. Jason tells the driver the address to his aunt's house. Kinsley and Leigh took Jenny and Jasper in their cab and we took Gracie. She lays her head against the door, her eyes closed.
"Hey," Jason pokes my side gently. "I can tell you're stressed. That plane ride was hell, I get it. But calm down for me. They're going to love you," he kisses my head. I just nod, biting my lip. "You're going to be Daddy's good girl, right? You'll introduce yourself like a big girl and then you can be my baby for the rest of the trip."
I lean against his side. "Daddy?"
"What, baby?" He wraps his arms around me.
"Me have sip of you soda?"
He chuckles and nods. He unscrews the cap and hands it to me. "Here, Angel. Be careful," he helps me hold it. "Good girl," he praises as I hand it back to him. "Are you hungry, beautiful?"
"Wittle bit," I look up at him.
"I'll call Aunt Carna and tell her," he kisses my forehead. He pulls out his phone and clicks on Carna's contact. "Hey, aunt Carna, its Jason.... yeah, we're on our way now. We're hungry, is there anyway you can whip up some snacks for when we get their?.... like a half an hour.... okay, thank you. I love you too. Bye."
"I's wove her name, Daddy."
"Yeah?" I nod, puckering my lips at him. "You want my kisses, babe?" I nod again. "Come here." He grabs my chin and pulls me into his lips.
I love Daddy's kisses. They're so warm and passionate. He tastes so good. I love Daddy.
"What're you thinking about?" He pulls away with his eyebrows furrowed.
I open my eyes to stare into his honey colored ones. "How's you's so perfect," I admit.
He grins, pushing some hair away from my face. "You're so perfect, Nezther. I love you so much. You make me so happy," he leans his forehead against mine.
I cup his cheeks. "I's make you sad, too, 'doe. Dats what wove is. We make each other sad so we can make each other happy."
"I love you so much," he kisses me gently. "There's something I've been meaning to ask you for awhile." He pulls back. "How come you have a Jamaican name?"
"My mom and dad were in Jamaica when she found out she was pregnant with me. They had a tour guide named Nezther and she was so sweet to them that they named me after her," I tell him. "But years went on and I wasn't as sweet as she was."
Daddy pulls me into his lap. "You're the sweetest woman I've ever met, babygirl. I'm glad they couldn't see that because I wouldn't have you right now if they did."

"Oh my goodness! They're gorgeous!" The elderly woman shouts as my kids run into the living room.
Daddy pulls me into his side. "Aunt Carna, Aunt Maria, this is Nezther. My wife," he says loudly over the commotion.
Both the woman look over at me. "Well," Carna places her hands on her hips. "It's pretty evident where the children get their good looks from. Come here, Darling." She pulls me into a hug. I giggle, hugging her back tightly. "Nezther, this is my sister Maria." She let's me go and motions to her sister.
"Hello, Nezther," she reaches out to shake my hand.
"Hi," I smile at her.
I lean back against Jason, feeling slightly uncomfortable. "Good girl," he kisses my cheek. "Where are Kinsley and Leigh?"
Maria rolls her eyes. "I will not tolerate lesbians in my house, Jason. What if they try something on the twins?"
"Excuse me?" I take everything to pull out of my little space. "They're gay, not monsters. How could you say such a thing? They're our family!"
"Jason, tell her–"
"No," he shakes his head. "She's right, Aunt Maria. They're our family."
Carna grabs my arm. "Come help me with dinner, Dear."
"I'm gay." We look over at Jasper. "That's what Auntie Kinny says. I like a boy and she said it's called being gay and that it's okay."
"Do you see what they're doing to your children!?" Maria shouts at Jason.
I watch his face turn red with anger. "We've known Jasper's gay since his third birthday! Do not tell me that the girls that are like my daughters are bad influences, because they're not! They make this family complete! Now where are they!?"
My phone vibrates in the pocket of the sweatpants I'm wearing. "Hello?" I answer.
"Nes?" I hear Kinsley's nervous voice. "Leigh is so upset right now. She thinks she ruined everything for you," she says quickly.
"Where are you?"
"At the hotel a couple blocks away. Nes, she's scaring me."
I grab my jacket and start walking to the door. "What's she doing? Is she okay?" I ask frantically.
"She's not doing anything. She's just sitting there," she mumbles.
"I'm coming, I'll be a few minutes because I'm walking. Do you want me to stay on the phone with you?"
"Nezther!"
I turn around to see Jason and the kids walking briskly to me. "Please stay on the phone," Kinsley begs.
"Mommy," Gracie reaches up. I lift her into my arms. She takes my phone. "Kinny?" Jason lifts Jasper onto his back and carries Jenny in his arms. "Yeah, i's talk to you... you's sad and I wan' make you happy."
It takes us about fifteen minutes, but we're at the small motel. "Tell her we're here," I say to my daughter.
"We's here."
She hands me my phone. I shove it into my pocket and run into the lobby. I set Grace down and Jason sets the other two down. Kinsley comes into view with her face covered in tears. She runs over to me and tackles me into a hug. "I'm so worried about her," she whispers.
Jason walks over to us and places is hand on my lower back. "Where is she, kin?"
Kinsley shows us to their room. "Oh no," I whisper as she pushes the door open.
