I hold my wife against me. Her chest against mine, our lips connected, her hands on my cheeks as she continues to move her hips. One arm around her waist as the other presses against her back so she's as close as possible to me.
"I love you," I breathe out.
She pulls her lips away, only to place her forehead on mine. "I love you too," she nods. I feel tears build up in my eyes.
Stupid meds make me emotional.
"No, no, baby," she wipes the escaped tears away with her thumbs. "Don't cry."
I move my hands down to her hips. "I'm sorry," I mumble, "I just love it when you tell me."
A few minutes later, we're in the shower. Our bodies are pressed together in a tight hug. "I'm so happy you're home," Nezther tells me in a soft tone.
I squeeze her a bit tighter. "So am I, Angel," I smile against her neck.

Carson clings to Nezther like she is his life support. Ever since he woke up, he just wants her. I don't blame him, she's so amazing.
"Nes?" I look at Kinsley who stands in the doorway. "Did the kids go to school already?"
Nezther nods, "yes. Thank you for making their lunches this morning."
"Not a problem," she smiles as she sits at the counter. "I know you guys probably had a lot to catch up on." My wife rolls her eyes. "Carson didn't bug you guys?"
"I-I-I... sleep," he replies to her.
I coo at his cuteness. "My little man," I walk over to him. "Come to me?"
He leans his head on Nezther's shoulder. "Ma," he grumbles.
My wife looks at me with an apologetic look. "He's not a morning person," she whispers.
"You and me both, kid," Leigh walks downstairs. "Off to work, bye guys," she walks to the front door.
"I should go get ready," Kinsley walks back to her room.
I sit on the countertop. "So what's the plan with him?"
"Well, everyday he wakes up and I carry him around for the first three hours. Then he sits down to watch Paw Patrol and plays with his toys. He takes a nap around one o'clock after lunch and I wake him up before dinner."
"I'm sorry I made you raise three kids by yourself."
She looks up from the pancakes. "Babe, it's not your fault. You understand that, right?" I just shrug. "Baby, let's go play," she walks into the living room. She comes back without Carson in her arms. She turns the burner on the stove off before coming over to me. "My love, it's not your fault. You needed to get better and I would rather have you gone away for a year and come home on the weekends than not have you at all, okay? And as far as Carson goes, he just needs to warm up to you. He came to you yesterday, remember when he was scared of you?" I nod as tears stream down my face. "It's okay, baby," she wraps her arms around my waist.
