Red's POV

"We're going to the beach," bungad sa 'kin ni Sei nung pumunta siya sa bahay ko the next day.

"What the hell? Pebrero pa lang ngayon, Sei. Next week na rin ang finals natin, gago," sagot ko.

"I forgot to tell you yesterday that our next target is actually living in a beach. And besides, long weekend naman tayo so we have plenty of time to relax even for just a tiny bit. Malapit lang naman ang pupuntahan nating lugar. It's somewhere in Batangas," paliwanag niya.

I sighed. "Fine, then. We should go home tomorrow. We need to study for the exams."

"Roger," Sei said with a tiny nod.

So after a quick breakfast, Sei helped me pack some of my things. Within just a couple of hours ay nasa van na kami papunta ng Batangas.

"Hindi ba tayo nasundan ng magaling mong pinsan?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"I checked his schedule today. Busy siya maghapon. Don't worry, we're safe," sagot ni Sei na nakatitig sa labas ng kotse.

I stared at him for a few seconds.

"Any problem?" baling niya sa 'kin.

"Gino actually talked to me a few days ago. Sabi niya eh tanungin daw kita kung saan ka nag-first year high school," sabi ko.

Sei frowned at the car's window.

"At bakit niya 'yun pinapatanong?" Sei asked.

"Ewan. It's completely random, to be honest. But now that I come to think of it, never mo pang nasabi sa 'kin kung saan ka nag-first year high school," sabi ko.

"Malamang sa Veron High. I never transferred. Hindi ko na alam kung ano pa ba ang tumatakbo sa utak niyan ni Kuya Gino," Sei said.

I sighed. "I see..."

After a few hours ay nakarating na kami sa destinasyon namin sa Batangas. It was mid-noon at tirik na tirik na ang araw.

"At maghahanap pa tayo ng resort..." I said grumpily while carrying my bag.

Dalawang lalaki ang sumalubong sa 'min.

"Let me carry your bags, sirs. Please follow us and we'll guide you to your room," sabi ng isa sa kanila.

I stared at Sei, completely bewildered.

"What the-?"

"I made a reservation a few days ago. Our room is ready," he said.

"Our room? Eh tutal ay may VIP service ka na dito eh bakit hindi mo na dinalawa 'yung kwarto?" singhal ko sa kanya.

"Why, ayaw mo ba akong makatabi sa higaan?" tanong niya.

"Alam natin pareho ang mangyayari. Or rather, alam ko kung ano ang mangyayari," I said.

Sei just laughed. "Don't get stressed too much. Gutom lang 'yan. Don't worry at nakahanda na ang lunch nating dalawa," sabi niya.

I just rolled my eyes as a reply.

After being shown to our room ay dinala na kami nung dalawang resort staff sa isang gazebo kung saan nakahanda na ang mga pagkain namin.

"So, where is he?" tanong ko habang nakaharap sa isang buong king crab na ako lang ang kumakain.

"He's working at a bar in this resort. He's a bartender now. And, hallelujah, he's into guys. Later this evening ay makikita mo na siya," sabi ni Sei.
