Tommy Joe Ratliff, a sixteen year old, lived a hard life when he was kidnapped at age fourteen for prostitution in a gay bar. Two years later he was rescued by police along with other people. Now he goes back to school, but people bully him for the...
December had come and what I couldn't wait for was Christmas! Christmas was going to be next week Friday, but we were having vacation, which was nice. Mom and Dad had picked up Lisa from college and she had decided to come Christmas shopping as in food and gifts. I had gotten a new laptop to Lisa, a jewelry box to Mom and a tool box kit for Dad, but I couldn't think of anything for Adam.
"Maybe some new makeup?" Said Lisa since she was helping me with the gifts. I shook my head.
"He got a new makeup pack two days ago." I said.
"What does he love to do?" She asked.
"Draw, sing, listen to music,....yeah that's all I know." I said with a shrug. Lisa smirked and shook her head.
"Are you sure you know your boyfriend perfectly?" She asked with a smirk. I gave her an annoyed look and she laughed. I rolled my eyes and that's when I remembered something.
***Flashback***
"Christmas is coming up!" Squealed Adam. "I can't wait!"
"Me neither." I said and we sat down in the bench. "Adam?"
"Yeah?" He said as he held my hand.
"What would you like to get for a gift?" I asked.
"It really wouldn't matter." He said. "I got a really early present."
"What was it?" I asked.
"You." He said. "You were my present." He stroked my cheek and I smiled. His lips softly kissed my own. I closed my eyes. I didn't want to pull back. My hands went to his chest. Adam's arms wrapped around my waist.
"That was...so sweet..." I said in between the kiss. We slowly pulled back and smiled. Our foreheads rested against each other. Adam softly pecked my lips.
"But really." Said Adam. "I don't care how much money you spend because I know it comes from the heart."
***End of Flashback***
"Hey!" Yelled a voice, making me flinch, squeak and jump at the same time. I turned around and saw Lisa laughing. I glared at her.
"What?" I asked annoyed.
"Mom and Dad said its time to go." She said. I sighed and followed Lisa. We exit Kmart and we got inside the car. "I have an idea."
"What?" I asked.
"You're a good drawer, aren't you?" She asked. I nodded.
"Draw him." She said. "Make him a picture of himself. Make it special." I smiled.
"Oh God, thank you so much Lisa!" I said as I hugged my sister tightly. She laughed.
"Welcome little brother." She said. I saw a Michael's store and smiled. "Mom?"
"What is it?" Asked Mom.
"Can we stop at Michael's?" Asked Lisa and I smiled. "We need to pick some things."
"Okay." Said Dad and Mom. They went to the parking lot and went inside the store. I immediately went to the school area. I found a nice big white construction paper. Not bad. Lisa grabbed a basket and put in paints, markers, color pencils, glitter (cause Adam loves glitter) and brushes.

Home. . .
Tommy's POV:
Once home, I ran straight upstairs to my bedroom. I grabbed the packet of pencils I had brought. The pencils were nicely sharpened, so not bad. I sighed.
"Here it goes." I said as I started drawing.

3 And A 1/2 Hours Later. . .
Tommy's POV:
I smiled at my drawings. I did two, by the way. This was so, perfect. I sighed. I just hoped Addy liked it.

"Oh my God, Tommy!" Said a voice. I turned around and saw Lisa smiling. "Those drawings are amazing!"
"Thank you." I said.
"What's wrong with you?" She asked.
"I don't know if Adam is going to like it." I said. "It doesn't look....significant."
"I got it." She said. "Put the drawings in a box and on top of the box, write the lyrics to Bleeding Out Imagine Dragons." I smiled.
"Good idea." I said. She smiled and left. I grabbed a sheet of paper and started writing on it. I looked at my clock. Twelve fifty-seven. I yawned, but put my stuff away and put the drawings under my bed before I changed into pajamas and slid under the covers. I tried to go to sleep with one question in my mind: would my Addy like the gift?
