Chapter 10

Arken POV

Nakaupo ako ngayon sa loob ng office ni Chairman. Kasama ko ang tatlo. Nagpupumilit, eh. Tiningnan lang ako ng seryoso ni Chairman Montreal kaya sinalubong ko naman ito ng tingin.

Ito ang unang bumawi ng tingin at tumikhim. Tumingin ito kina Coren, Trisha at Venice muna bago sa akin.

"Because of what happened last week, Mr. Gonzales filed a petition for expulsion." Nakuha nito ang atensyon ko. "But that won't happen because as the Dean and owner of this Academy, I always have the last say on this matter. Instead of expulsion, I will give you a sanction, rather."

"And that is?

"You will be going to represent our school in a swimming competition. I heard you enlisted yourself at the swimming club? The four of you?" Tanong nito sa amin at marahan kaming tumango.

"You just have to win that competition or else, you will be expelled in this academy." Anito. I sighed. I can't get expelled. Dad will not be happy about that news.

"Kailan yan?"

"Next month will be the start of the Interschool Competition so you only have a month to prepare yourself. I know and believe you all can do it judging from your background." Nakangiti nitong tugon. Tumango ako.

"Sure, Mr. Montreal. Expect the gold medal from us then." Sabi ko.

"I know that a lot of students are bullying you here in the Academy Miss Kang and I am very sorry for their behaviour most especially that my only son is one of them. Miss Gonzales and Miss Paler are also one of them and they are not exempted of the school's policy. It would be unfair if you will only receive a sanction or punishments from the Chairman. So don't worry because they, too and the others will have their own sanctions. But I want you to realize that violence is not a solution to any arguments. You also have your fair share of mistake when you punched Miss Gonzales. I hope you understand what I am saying." Tumango ako at nagpaalam na na umalis.

"Do you have a plan on your mind, Queen?" Tanong ni Venice.

"Give Gonzales a warning but don't kill him yet. He's mine to finish. For now, let's deal the interschool swimming competition." Seryoso kong sabi at bumaba na papuntang cafeteria. Gutom na ako. Nakita namin si Nina na nakaupo sa table namin at ngumiti at kumaway ito ng makita kami. Nakatingin ang studyante sa amin lalo na sa akin dahil sa itsura ko ngayon.

I didn't wear my wig and glasses anymore. I don't really understand why they stereotype people who wears glasses and call them nerd. I mean, nerd ba talaga ang nagsasalamin? Di ba pwedeng malabo lang ang mata or for the love of art and fashion? Wala ba silang mga fashion sense? And wearing wigs is really a trend nowadays specially in Europe, Japan, Korea and China.

Napapansin ko ring naging ilag na sila sa akin matapos nilang masaksihan kung paano ko napatulog si Stacy sa cafeteria but I don't really care. They can fuck their selves if they want to. I don't really give a damn.

"Hi Girls. I bought food na already. Let's dig in?" She said with enthusiasm in her voice. Napapalakpak naman si Trisha. PG talaga.

"Oh my God Arken! You look so pretty talaga! Nag gi-girl crush na tuloy ako sayo." Sabi nito pero di ko sya pinansin. Nakakatamad. Umupo ako at kinain ang pizza sa harap ko. Favorite ko kasi talaga 'to lalo na kapag marami ang cheese. Sakto at mainit pa.

My phone vibrated. A call from an unknown number. Hindi ko ugaling mamigay ng number. I rejected the call and ate again.

My phone vibrated again. Text na naman ito ngayon. I mentally rolled my eyes ng malaman ko kung kanino galing ang text and then tumawag na naman ito ulit. Ilang araw na rin nyang akong tinantanan. I thought he's stating a ceasefire. Nakikita ko sya dito sa loob ng Academy pero wala kaming pansinan at hindi nya na ako inaasar.
