"BEN is an extreme aquaphobe, to the point where he has to be strapped down to drink water. They all hate doing this though, as BEN sometimes resorts to begging them to let him go- it saddens them to see their friend like that."

Something wasn't right.

Maybe it was the way EJ had taken his coffee earlier- no blood. Maybe it was the way Masky had gone through an entire package of cigarettes in under an hour. Or maybe it was because Jeff had just left one of his knives laying around.

Whatever the reason, you suspected something was up.

Your suspicions were proven correct, when at exactly 12:00, the household went silent. Dead. Silent.

You froze, putting down the snowflake you'd been making. A second later, a scream pierced the air.

"NO! LEMME GO YOU MOTHERFUCKERS-!"

You leaped to your feet, instantly on guard. That was BEN's voice.

You turned towards the door, just in time to see EJ, and LJ drag BEN through, kicking and screaming. Jeff took up the rear, and you could've sworn you saw Sally in the shadows here and there.

"What's-what's going on?" You asked, not expecting anyone to answer you.

Nobody did.

EJ caught sight of you.

"(Y/N)!" He called over BEN's screams, panic clear in his eyeless eyesockets. "HELP!"

You weren't sure why you did it. Looking back on the episode, you were glad you helped, but a small part of you wished you'd bolted right then and there.

"(Y/N) WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU- NO! LET ME GO YOU FUCKING ASSWIPE!" You ducked under the kick BEN sent your way and pulled the struggling wraith against you, rendering him mostly immobile.

Mostly.

"Where are we going?" You asked, digging your nails into BEN's side when he headbutted you. EJ readjusted his grip on the elf-like entity.

"Down to the basement," he gasped. His mask was off, allowing you to see the pain on his face. It was pretty clear why- 4 long scratches ran along his arm. The others also bore wounds similar to this, or bruises. It seemed BEN had not wanted to come along quietly.

The four of you trapsised down to the basement. BEN's screams and panic only increased the further down you went.

"NO- NO, PLEASE, PLEASE LET ME GO!" He begged, bloody tears welling up and falling from his eyes. "PLEASE, I'M BEGGING YOU! DON'T!!"

You frowned at the others, who all wore matching grim expressions, as if they didn't want to do this, but knew it needed to be done, and suddenly, you were very, very, very afraid.

"What's-what's going on?" You whispered as EJ and LJ pushed the wraith up against a wall. A cool hand slipped into your warm one and you started, looking down to see a small child in a bloodstained nightgown standing next to you.

"Come on (Y/N)," Sally said, voice laced with undertones of resignation, as if she had seen this scene 1,000 times and knew she was going to see it another 1,000 more. "Don't watch. Come back upstairs." Leaving BEN like this was the last thing you wanted to do, but something in Sally's voice compelled you and you found yourself waking towards the exit almost against your will.

You were almost out of the basement, when you heard it.

Choking. Choking, and apologies. Oh God, so. Many. Apologies.

And one word.

"Drowning."

Over. And over. And over.

Like a mantra, BEN screamed the word, choking and spluttering on the water the others forced down his throat.

Sally's grip tightened on your hand, and you looked down to see the small child holding back bloody tears of her own.

"Come on," she whispered, pulling you away from the hellish torture happening behind you. "Just follow me."

You followed wordlessly, BEN'S screams still ringing in your ears.
