"Mark! I don't know how to tell him!" I whined to my best friend.

"Just tell him straight up." Mark replied bluntly.

"You're so helpful." I said sarcastically, looking back at the contact that read Jackaboy. One of my other best friends who I happened to have feelings for. Mark came up with the idea for me to tell him but I knew he didn't like me back.

"Fine. I'll say that you and him should go out. Then we'll see his reaction." Mark stood up from his chair, snatching my phone from my hand, pressing the phone icon and calling Jack. He put it on speaker as Jack answered.

"Y/n?" Jack asked.

"No, this is Mark. Can I ask you something?" Mark answered, holding the phone near his mouth.

"Yeah! Sure bud!" Jack replied enthusiastically.

"How would you react if y/n liked you? Hypothetically." Mark asked, sitting back in his seat.

"We'll, uh... I see her as a little sister... It'd be really awkward..." Jack replied. I froze in spot, tears brimming my eyes.

"Nice to know..." I whispered.

"Wait... Was that y/n? Oh sh*t, she doesn't like me like that does she?" Jack panicked.

"She does, bro. You just broke her heart." Mark tutted before hanging up, passing me my phone and hugging me. "I'm sorry." He whispered.

"There's nothing for you to be sorry about. It's Jack's feelings. Not yours. Not mine. I just need to move on and get over it. Forget my feelings." I sighed, parting from the hug.

"Feelings are fatal. You can't just give up on them." Mark held me by the shoulders. I put my hands on my crossed legs.

"I have to or you know that I'll go down that road again." I said, instinctively tugging on my sleeve. Mark rubbed my shoulders.

"Jack just doesn't realise how amazing you truly are. He doesn't see you for you. Now let's go make a video to take your mind off of him." Mark smiled, standing up. I simply nodded, following as he walked to the recording room.

Mark and I were doing the Try Not To Laugh challenge. Mark has lost most as I was constantly feeling sad throughout the video. I finally broke when a man started talking about how stroking your dog is really therapeutic but his dog kept going crazy and biting his finger. I covered my mouth after a major laughing fit.

"I TOLD you that making a video would cheer you up!" Mark shouted after I calmed down. "She's been getting very depressed because SOMEONE broke her heart. You know who you are, ye b*stard." Mark did a bad Irish accent at the end of it. I punched Mark's shoulder.

Mark uploaded the video when I started getting lots of tweets about who broke my heart. I didn't answer them. I couldn't answer them. That's when I noticed the string of texts I had.

Jackaboy: Y/n? You alright? I saw the video. I never meant to upset you.

Jackaboy: Y/n, come on. I'm sorry. You can't just ignore me!

Jackaboy: Please, I'm so sorry. I never knew you liked me like that! I see you as my little sister!

Jackaboy: Please, answer...

Y/n: Please leave me alone....

Jackaboy: No, please! I'm so sorry!

Y/n: Jack, I'm done. I'm done with hurting. Go on and find a girl. Like I'll give a crap anymore. You broke my heart. Might as well not have one anymore. I'm. Done.

I turned off my phone, placing it on the glass coffee table. My phone buzzed repeatedly, but I just left it. I sat back in my seat, covering my eyes. My sleeve fell from my arm, revealing the scars. The scars I gave myself.

I looked through the sliding glass doors leading to Mark's back garden. The sun was setting, making the sky beautiful shades of orange and pinks.

"If only I had someone to watch this with..." I muttered to myself, resting my forehead against the glass, letting a few tears slip from my eyes. "If only I had someone to love me..." I slid down on my knees.

"If only I wasn't trapped inside... If I wasn't so different!" I grabbed my hair. "I hate being different!" I cried, falling onto my side. "I want to be like everyone else..." I whispered before falling into the black abyss we call sleep.
