I lay, sprawled out on the sofa. Felix was recording a video with Jack so I was alone. I couldn't hang out with Signe as she went shopping with some of her other friends and I'm not on for shopping. Maya was curled up in between my legs and Edgar rested on my stomach.

There was literally nothing to do. As usual, it was cold in Brighton so I don't want to go to the beach. I couldn't be assed to make food and Maya and Edgar had already been on a walk.

After a while of thinking of things to do, I got a phone call. I picked it up, seeing it was Felix.

"Wassup?" I asked, tapping the back of my phone.

"Do you want to come to Jack's? I figured you'd be a bit lonely and bored by now." I heard Felix ask. There was whispering in the background, so I guessed it was Jack.

"Sure. Want me to bring anything?" I asked as Edgar got off of my stomach and I stood up.

"Nah. Just come over whenever." Felix replied.

"Okay, I'll be over soon." I smiled before hanging up. I put Edgar and Maya in their crates. I put some shoes on and grabbed my hoodie. I grabbed my keys from beside the door and left, locking the door behind me.

As I walked, rain started pouring down. I pulled the hood of my hoodie up, some of my hair sticking out. Cars drove past quickly and few people walked the streets. When the road crossing beeped, a couple people and I crossed over.

I knocked on the door, shivering from the cold rain. The door swung open, revealing Jack.

"Get in. Don't want you freezing!" He pulled me in, his accent thick. "Here." He handed me a fuzzy blanket.

"Thanks." I smiled softly, sitting on the sofa.

"No problem. I'll go get the meatball." He laughed. I chuckled slightly as Jack turned round and ran up the stairs. My hair was now soaking the blanket from being so damp.

Arms suddenly wrapped around me, warming me up. I felt a beard on the back of my head and rolled my eyes.

"When are you going to shave that off?" I asked when Felix leaned his head on my shoulder.

"Uh, neva." He said in a girly voice. I rolled my eyes again, leaning my head against Felix's.

"If I ever got a tattoo, what should I get?" I asked randomly. Felix sat on my left, Jack on his.

"Something meaningful, I guess?" Felix answered. A thought popped in mind.

"I know just what." I smiled.

A while later, we were at the tattoo parlor, booking an appointment. They had an open space just as we came so I decided to get it done. Felix didn't know what I was getting. I was getting the last active picture of my grandma's heartbeat on a monitor, then transitioning into birds on my lower arm. It was a really sweet idea and I loved it.

A couple hours later, the tattoo was done. The man, that was called Frank and super nice, explained how to keep care of it. I listened carefully before paying and leaving. My hoodie covered it up so Felix couldn't see what it was.

"I wanna see!" He whined.

"When we get home." I laughed. He started walking extremely fast, dragging me along behind him. "Stop! I can't keep up!" I laughed, running slowly.

Felix burst through the door, causing Maya and Edgar to start barking.

"Show me!" He pulled me through the, slamming it shut. I sighed as I chuckled, taking my hoodie off and showing him the tattoo. "What does it mean?" He tilted his head.

"It's the last active picture of my grandma's heartbeat going into birds. She loved birds." I explained, pointing to the birds through the wrapping.

"That's sweet." Felix said as he sat on the sofa, pulling me next to him. "You're sweet." He kissed my cheek. I smiled and lay my head on his shoulder.
