Sunlight creeped through the white curtains in Jack and my room, making it slightly yellow tinted. Jack's arms were wrapped around my waist, holding me to his chest tightly. I couldn't help but smile when I thought of when I'd met Jack.

~flashback~

I walked through the streets of Athlone, rain pouring down. I had my hood over my head, my hands in my pockets. Cars whizzed past, splashing water as they went. I was alone. Always had been.

I stumbled backwards slightly as I bumped into someone.

"Sorry, dude." I apologised.

"It's fine, sorry as well." They said with a thick Irish accent. I looked up, my eyes meeting with icy blue ones. The man had bright green hair and a brown beard kind of thing. He wore glasses and had a blue beanie hiding most of his hair. "I'm Sean, but you can call me Jack." He smiled, stretching out his hand.

"Y/n." I smiled, shaking his hand.

"So what's a pretty lady like you doing out here alone? Thought you'd be with your boyfriend or somethin'." He asked.

"I, uh, I don't have a boyfriend." I shrugged.

"That's might change." Jack muttered, but I could still hear it. I couldn't help but smile.

~end of flashback~

A smile creeped onto my face as I reminisced. I rubbed my thumb over Jack's hand as he slept, making him smile slightly. I sighed, closing my eyes again. I was grateful to have Jack in my life. I thought I'd be fine on my own, when I really wasn't. He made it all better.

I twisted the ring on my finger slightly, smiling as I opened my eyes again. I looked at the one on Jack's finger, my smile growing wider. I was his, he was mine. Life couldn't be better.

"I'll be fine as long as I have you." I whispered, falling into a peaceful sleep again.
