Hyunwoo
The bubble gum haired male rattled off what I need to know to work in the kitchen before introducing me to the staff that was there at the moment. I greeted them all with what I hoped was a smile. It was really awkward.
*doors open*
Five males entered the kitchen dressed in chefs outfits. "There are more..." I said out loud without knowing.
"Obviously, a kitchen does not run with only 4 people. From the left, they are Jin-hyung, Taekwoon-hyung, Seunghoon-hyung, Mingyu-ah, and Kyungsoo-hyung," said Kihyun.
"Ahh, nice to meet you all. I am Son Hyunwoo. Please take care of me," I said with a bow. They all greeted me back before going to their stations. Looking around, I was not sure what I should do. Kihyun eyed me from the other side of the kitchen and waved me over.
"Hopeless in the kitchen, huh? Well, I guess I can teach you the basics before customers start rolling in," he states.
"Yeah..."
"Okay so today's menu for lunch is lamb salad with freguola, smoked pork jowl with pickles, and scallop sashimi with Meyer lemon confit. As for the wine selection, you do not need to know about at the moment," he rattles off.
"So, what can I do?"
"Just watch for now and then I will show you step by step after, but during today's shift, you can wash the dishes or help us cook or something like that," he replies with a shrug.
~opening time~
"Order! One salad, two scallop, and one jowl," shouts Jin. Right after those words, the whole kitchen kicked into action.
*cooking sounds*
As more orders flooded in, I was literally running around the kitchen to help every one of the chefs. But, eventually, I had to wash the dishes that piled up after the customers had finishing eating. I frowned because this work is so hard compared to working out for two hours. I sighed and wiped the sweat off my brow with the back of my wrist. Looking up, Kihyun was barking orders, expediting, and cooking at the same time.
As I continued to look at him, I noticed how sharp his facial features are, and how puffy his cheeks are like a hamster. His hair was in disarray. Just then, he seemed to have noticed me looking at him so he leveled me a glare and shouted at me to finish washing those" god damn dishes and get your muscle bound rock ass into high gear as a huge party just fucking came in." Who knew such words would come from such pretty lips?
