Ch. 76: I'm Okay

Kihyun

~Monday morning~

~at the restaurant~

I was feeling a bit lightheaded as I walked into work which was a bit odd as I had taken my medication for the day already. So, I chose to ignore it. When I turned to look out the windows, Junmyeon and Yixing were talking in low voice and were awful too close to one another.

Meanwhile, I heard Minhyuk screeching from the kitchen. I sighed and wondered what kind of shit did that idiot do this time. When I got into the kitchen, Minhyuk was shaking a extremely bored Hyungwon while Changkyun was trying to stop Minhyuk. The other chefs didn't seem to be particularly bothered by the scene happening near them as if it was a natural occurence which it might be.

"No way! That means I am on dish duty for two weeks! TWO WEEKS," Minhyuk yelled at Hyungwon who still had a blank expression on his face.

"Well, it is your fault for making a bet," Changkyun snorts as he tries to pry Minhyuk's hands from Hyungwon. Minhyuk finally stops shaking Hyungwon but still kept holding onto him.

"Can you let go of me now, you retard," Hyungwon asks in a bored tone.

"Retard? Shut up, you frog. I don't want to hear that from you. And, I will have you know that I was an A and B student," Minhyuk replies.

"Guys."

"Frog?! Look at me. How am I a frog," Hyungwon says in a slightly higher voice than usual.

"Guys!"

"Here they go again," Changkyun mutters under his breath and stops trying to pull the two sticks apart.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN? DO YOU EVEN LOOK IN A MIRROR," Minhyuk shouts.

"I do, but probably less than you, you narcissist," Hyungwon retorts.

"GUYS!!! I SWEAR TO GOD THAT I WILL KNOCK YOU INTO YESTERDAY IF YOU KEEP DISTURBING THE PEACE," I shouted at them. They both look at me with a look of vague disdain before letting go of each other.

Minhyuk smiles evilly and says, "So, I heard that you smarten up."

"What?"

"You know...," he says after leaning closer to me.

"...shut up," I groaned and shoved his face away from mine.

"Yes," he shrieks and shakes me too. This caused my head to start to ring a bit.

"Stop-," I mumbled and weakly tried to pull away, but he holds on. My vision started to get blurry and then I realized that I was having another event/attack as my heart feel like it was beating erratically. Sensing this, Changkyun uses his full strength to pry Minhyuk's hands off of me.

When he got Minhyuk off of me, he caresses my face with one hand and pats my back in hopes to soothe the pain. "Deep breaths," Changkyun says.

I nodded and breathed deeply from my mouth. The pain and blurry vision started to subside with each breath, but not fast enough to not torture me.

"Ah shit. Ki Ki, are you okay," Mihyuk asks nervously and tries to get to me but to only get dragged away by Hyungwon who was not amused at all.

"Did you take your meds, Hyung? I know you said that you always take them before work," Changkyun says.

"I did. I don't know why an attack still happened. Maybe, I am getting to used to them or something," I muttered with my eyes closed.

"...Make sure you go see the doctor again or even go see P'Phana if he is still in Korea."

"It's fine," I groaned as the pain in my chest throbbed lightly. "Help me to my office. I just need to sit down for a minute."

He stares at me blankly for a moment before started to carry me to my office. But, just my luck, Hyunwoo walked in right at that moment. His eyes widen in surprise. He quickly comes closer to us and asks, "Is something wrong? What happened? Are you okay?"

"It's nothing. I just tripped. Nothing to be worried about," I said with a bitter smile.

"Nothing," he asks.

"Hyung," Changkyu warns. I glared at him daring him to spill my secret to which he gives his very own glare but does not say anything. I sighed and turned my attention back to Hyunwoo.

"I'm okay...really," I said while trying to be as convincing as I can in this state.
