"Wow."
"Why? You think that we could not have dated?"
"No...," I said while not looking into his eyes. He stares at me like I'm an idiot before snorting.
"Relax, man. It has been a while since we dated so you do not need to worry about good old Hoseok," he says while chuckling.
"So... why did you guys break up then?"
Hoseok's expression darkens. "Why do I have to tell you, hyung?"
Sensing the awkwardness and how insensitive I was being, I quickly changed the subject. "Let's go hit the showers." He nods stiffly.
~20 minutes later~
Unsure what to say, I just stuffed my hands into my pockets and walked out of the gym. Hoseok walks next to me silently, which was odd as he never stayed silent for more than three minutes.
"So...," I started.
"Forget it, hyung. You do not need to apologize as you do not know what happened between me and Kihyun..."
"But..."
"Hyung, really... it is okay," he states before pulling his turtle neck sweater up to cover the bottom half of his face. I laughed awkwardly and continued to walk to dad's restaurant. In the distance or specifically a couple meters away, I could see a familiar head of pink. Next to me, Hoseok brightens immediately and ran to Kihyun, who was taking out the trash. He shrieks as Hoseok appeared so suddenly and he had earbuds in. Kihyun turns in his hold and looks up to see who hugged him from behind. I thought he would yell at Hoseok for doing that, but instead his eyes softened. As I got closer, I could hear them talking.
"Ki Ki," Hoseok says softly after pulling down his sweater.
"Bun Bun, what are you doing here," Kihyun replies.
"I just wanted to see you again<3"
"You literally just saw me last weekend," Kihyun shouts without any real harsh feelings behind those words. Hoseok pouts and holds on tighter. Kihyun sighs and pats Hoseok on his head while standing on his toes slightly to do that. Feeling like I was intruding on this pink like atmosphere, I went into the restaurant with a bitter taste in my mouth.
