Ch. 108: If I Had One Wish...

Hyunwoo

~ten minutes later~

Millions of thoughts ran through my mind. I wasn't sure what to say. He looks at me with sad eyes and keep trembling. I pulled him onto my lap, and hugged him tight. He sobs silently and mumbles something against my shoulder.

"D- y- ha- me f- not te- yo- ear-."

"No, I could never hate you, Kihyun. I am glad that you are willing to share this with me."

"Really," he asked in low tone.

"Of course, Ki. We will get through this together. I will not let it take you from me even if it is the last thing I do," I swore to him.

"But...."

"There is hope. You cannot give up. Miracles can happen," I told him. He gives me a doubtful look, but nods. I laid us both back down with his head on my chest and his right arm thrown across my stomach.

We laid there for a long time. I stroked the top of his right hand and listened to his breath evening out into slow and steady pace.

"Kihyun?"

"Hmm," he says in a sleepy but questioning tone.

"I love you."

"Always?"

"And forever," I said before kissing the crown of his head. He hums in agreement and softly squeeze the hand on top of his. I chuckled lightly and rolled onto my side to look into his eyes. Half mast chocolate eyes looked back at me. He tries to stay awake, but his eyelids keep drooping.

"Kihyun ah~," I cooed softly.

"Ne?"

"Nevermind. Go to sleep," I smiled at him. He frowns slightly before pouting. So cute... Soon enough, he closes his eyes and falls asleep.

~the next morning~

I yawned as soon as I woke up, and attempted to stretch out my limbs, but found that my limbs were being restricted by someone or should I say my bear. I sighed in content as I am so happy that he didn't run away or reacted badly when I told him the truth. It feels like the weight on my mind has been lifted to some degree allowing me to live.

I reached out to him and placed my left hand on his right cheek. Then, I took it off and traced his facial features out with my index finger lightly. By the time I got to his jawline, he was smiling.

"Ugh, how embarrassing," I grumbled as he gave me his signature eye smile. "Why didn't you say something?"

"Hmmm, I wanted to see what you would do next," he says in a sexy husky tone and gives me a knowing smirk.

"Ahem, I need some water," I said awkwardly before getting out of his hold and making a run for it. As soon as I made it into the living room, I felt arms wrapping around my waist, and a chin resting on my right shoulder.

"Aigoo, I was just teasing," he say sing songily.

"I knew that," I scoffed as my cheeks heated up. Shut up, Heart. You're overreacting. He laughs silently and nuzzles against my neck.  

"Hey..."

"Yeah?"

"What are you thinking of?"

"You," I whispered before blushing madly.  

If I had one wish, I wish that this would last forever....
