Hyunwoo

~at the venue~

As we were waiting for the doors to open, Kihyun was tapping away at his phone sending messages to someone. I tried to slyly look at the name of the person, but Kihyun turned so that he was facing  more toward the entrance effectively preventing me from seeing it.

~opening time~

"Ah~, can't believe. I am here," Kihyun says as I let the worker scan the bar code on my phone.

"Please head to the room on the right," the worker says before helping the couple behind me. When we entered the room, there were various people already claiming the seats in the front. Kihyun grabs onto my arm and drags me to the remaining two seats in the second row from the front. He looked very excited to be here but I couldn't say the same myself.

After everyone was settled in their seats, a big framed man walks onto the stage and clears his throat. "Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen to this year's International Photographers' Exhibition. I am Daniel Kim, the manager of this event."

*clapping*

"Now, I can imagine that you all don't want to listen to little old me give a five minute speech so I will have Dr. Phana Thanit give it instead. Give him a big round of applause," Mr. Kim said before handing the mic to someone in off left of the stage.

*clapping*

In walked, a man who people might say is the tall, dark, and handsome type. He was dressed in a black dress shirt and gray slacks with hazel colored dress shoes. Even from a distance, he definitely  seemed to carry the air of an artist.

But, what was surprising to me, he was the person that Kihyun was talking to after he stormed out of the restaurant that day.

"Good afternoon, everyone. I'm Dr. Phana Thanit. It is an honor to be here," he says before going on to say the speech that Mr. Kim didn't say.

~after his speech~

"Thank you. Now, please go enjoy the exhibition and perhaps strike up a chat with someone," he says before bowing to the crowd. The crowd claps for a brief moment before scattering to the galleries. And then, Dr. Thanit walks over to us with a small smile.

"Um...," I started to say.

" Sawasdee krap, P'Pha!  Sabaaideemai," Kihyun says cheerifully while putting his palms together and bowed to him which caused both of his thumbs to touch his chin.

"Ai~. Nong Ki, Sawasdee krap! Sabaaideekrop. Sabaaideemai  ," he asks Kihyun while putting his palms together in front of his chest, but did not bow.

"Sabaaideemai," Kihyun replies.

"I thought you weren't going to come since you refused to let me give you a ticket," Dr. Thanit says.

"It was just that someone already offered me one, and I had accepted when you asked me. So, yeah...," Kihyun says hastily while pushing a strand of hair behind his ear.

"Oh, then is it this person next to you?"

"Yeah."

"Well, aren't you going to introduce me to your...friend," he asks as he looks at me.

"Oh, right. He is...my boss' son, Son Hyunwoo," Kihyun says quickly.

"Hello, I am Hyunwoo," I said and stuck out a hand for him to shake.

He then shakes my hand with a tight grip before letting go and says with a smile, "I'm Phana, Kihyun's senior and friend."

After he let go, I was quick to bite back the grimace that was itching to show on my face, and smiled tightly to which he laughed silently before turning his attention back to Kihyun.

"So, this is that muscle bound rock you were talking about last time?"

"P'Pha," Kihyun yells and smack him on the arm.

He talks about me?

A/N: 'Nong' is a term you use to refer to your junior. 'P'' is  a term you use to refer to your senior. I trust that you guys already know what 'Sawasdee Krap' means. 'Sabaaidemai' means how are you. And 'Sabaaideekrop'  means I'm fine. I am not sure if the last two words and translations are correct. I just did these translations from what I remember from the Thai dramas I have watched. So if anyone knows the correct version, please let me know, and I will be sure to edit it.  The quote unquote gesture that Kihyun made is called  'Wai.' It is a respectful/polite way of greeting (usually done to someone who is your senior, parent, teacher, elder, monk, or someone who is above you, and said person would wai back to you, but in the way that Dr. Thanit did). =)
