Ch. 102: Carefree in the Water

A/N: 1) I was at a Got7 concert, catching up with coursework for my classes, etc.Anyways, the concert was lit.  Seeing Jackson and the other members in person was amazing. Being part of the Green Ocean was wonderful too (I own that video above, so don't take w/o permission) .  =)

~at a water park~

"Just jump in. I will catch you," I shouted to Kihyun who was hesitating to get in the pool. 

"No way. I can't really swim," he pouts. 

"Don't worry. I will be here,"  I said. He dips his foot in and immediately pulls it back in. He shakes his head at the coldness of the pool water. I swim closer to him, so he could just literally step out and land in my arms. I made gestures beckoning him in, but he remains adamant about not getting in. He squats in front of me and stares at me with puppy eyes.

"Uh no. I am not falling for that. Come on. You promised that you would try to swim with me today," I said with as much aegyo as I could. His eyes widens in surprise. He quickly looks around if anyone saw before saying, "Stop that."

"Don't make me bust out them moves," I smirked as I was quite willing to do it if it meant that he would get in the pool, and even if people would give me funny looks. 

"You wouldn't," he says in a low tone.

"Watch me."

"Hyun..."

" Baby shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo. Baby shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo. Baby shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo. Baby shark," I started to sing and danced to it in the water. Kihyun squeaks and tries to grab me to get me to stop.

"Don't mind him. He is a bit touched in the head," Kihyun says to the people who stopped. "Stop it. You goof," he says.

"Mommy shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo. Mommy shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo. Mommy shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo. Mommy shark," I sang loudly to spite him, and tried my best to act like a (sexy) mom shark.

"Son Hyunwoo, I swear to god," Kihyun says while trying not to feel embarrassed and laugh. 

"Daddy shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo. Daddy shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo. Daddy shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo. Daddy shark," I sang and began to flex my muscles. 

"Oh my god! There are children here," he hisses and throws one of his sandals at me. 

"I will stop if you get in," I said and stuck out my tongue at him like a kid. He gives me a weary look before looking down at the water again.

"Grandma...," I started up again when Kihyun jumps onto me therefore dunking me into the pool with my mouth open. I quickly stood up and spat out the water. In my arms, Kihyun looks at me with a sly look and slicks his now wet pink hair back. 

To get him back, I let go of him. A look of panic runs through his eyes. He panics for a few seconds before he realizes that we were in the shallow end. He glares at me with his cheeks puffed. Instantly, I melted at that sight and went to hug him. He smacks my hands away and walks/wadles to the stairs leading out of the pool. 

"Hmph, don't touch me," he snaps with no real anger in his voice.

"Don't be like that~."

I quickly grabbed him around the waist and half dragged half swam us over to the deep end. Kihyun twists in my hold and wraps his arms and legs around me like an octopus. 

"You better not let go again or else," he growls next to my ear. 

I just laughed and kept us both above water by kicking my legs. After a few minutes, I brought us back over to the section of the pool between the deep and shallow end.

"Here, let's teach you how to swim," I said. 

"I don't wanna," he says and holds on tighter like a kid would to a parent when learning to swim for the first time.

"Kihyun," I said as I tried to pry him off. He only holds on tighter. "Just do it this once. For me."

He leans back in my hold, and sighs when he realizes that I was not going to give up. He lets go of my waist, but holds onto my hands. I uwued at this. A nervous, shy, and cute Kihyun fidgeting in front of me. "Trust me. Swimming is not that hard," I told him.

"Mmm, sure. I much rather stick to land," he mumbles. 

"Let your body be carried by the water."

He attempts to do that, but ends up drinking some pool water. He frowns at the taste and glares at me. After a few more tries, he manages to relax and let the water hold him up. 

"There. That wasn't hard. Was it?"

"Haha," he says humorlessly. 

"Now, kick with your legs like a dog," I told him as I swam backward. He kicks his legs like he was kicking something. Well, it's progress...

"Actually, more like a mermaid. Move your legs alternately in a wave sort of motion. Gosh, I suck at describing things," I laughed.  

"Like this," he asks with this adorable look on his face. Just want to pinch his cheeks. So cute<3

"Yes. Just like that," I cheered as he helped to propel us forward at a faster pace than his lame attempt at the doggy paddle. 

~twenty minutes later~

"Now, let's learn how to float on our backs," I said when we reached the shallow end for the tenth time. 

"How about no?"

"Why not?"

"I'm not a seal nor an otter."

"What does that have to do with anything?"

"It....just does," he sasses and rolls his eyes at me.

"Whatever. Watch me," I said before floating on my back with ease. He watches me with an unimpressed look on his face as I circled around him. 

"You got to help me do it not show off," he mutters under his breath. I stopped floating and stood next to him. 

"Lean back. I got you," I said as I placed a hand on his lower back.

"..."

"If you do it, I will buy you that new knife set that you wanted," I said in hopes of enticing my hamster. He turns to me so fast and looks at me with sparkles in his eyes.

"Really?!"

"Yes."

Withing a few minutes, Kihyun finally lets go and trusts me to keep him from drowning. When I was sure that he could do it on his own, I let go of his back and step back. His pink hair rings around his head like pink seaweed. His face was relaxed excluding his tightly closed eyes. His cheeks were a bit flushed. 

Of course, he eventually did notice that I let go. He opens his eyes and scans for me. When he sees me, the panic in his eyes waned. He smiles at me and I to him. Kihyun flips over and swims over to me. I opened my arms and hugs him close. 

I looked up at him and searched his eyes. We both smile at each other and laughed at how silly we were acting earlier. 

"Saranghae," he says in a sing songy tone before kissing me on the lips.

"Saranghae manhi and manhi," I murmured against his lips and kissed him deeper.
