Ch. 60: On My Mind

After reading it, I laughed so hard that I started to wheeze. I did not think that Hyunwoo would be the one to use cheesy pick up lines. It was also kind of odd that it was a hamster plushie and not a teddy bear. Don't people usually give teddy bears? 

When I picked up the hamster, there was another card under it. This card read, "Made you look ~Hyunwoo." I rolled my eye as soon as I finished reading it and put it down on my desk. Then, I brought the hamster in front of me and asked it," Why is he such a pabo?" 

To which, it didn't really respond. I set it back down on my desk and opened the metal cabinet to get my chef's uniform. There was another card posted on my shirt. It read: "Are you a magican? Because whenever I look at you, everyone else disappears. ~Hyunwoo" 

"The cringe is strong," I said out loud before getting dressed.

~kitchen~

~during service~

Hyunwoo still was not here yet. It was strange because the muscle bound rock never missed a single day of work. Didn't I say yes yesterday? Did he change his mind? No.. that can't be right? I picked up a sprig of rosemary and started to pluck each leaf off. Yes..No...Yes..No... Before I even finished ripping off each leaf, I tossed it back into the bin, and mentally cursed at myself for acting like some love sick high school girl waiting for her crush to reply to her confession. 

"Maybe, he is sick or something...should I make some porridge," I mumbled to myself. 

"Yah! Kihyun ah, get your head out of the clouds and start cooking," shouted Jin with his hands on his hips.

"Huh? Oh yeah. Sorry, hyung," I said before turning the stove on.

~during break~

As soon as I finished the last sandwich that I was making for lunch, I heard a sudden crash in my office. I paused as I was placing the slice of bread on top of it and glanced at the door. I tilted my head to the side and was about to make my way to my office to see what was going on in there. But then, Minhyuk comes into the kitchen and whines," Ki Ki, how long does it take to make some sandwiches."

"Shut up, Min Min. If you think it is so easy to make lunch for everyone, then you do it," I shout back and quickly put the last sandwich onto the platter before bumping Minhyuk out of the way and went into the main part of the restaurant.

Before I could start dinner service, curiosity made me go into my office to see what could have caused such a loud sound. When I opened the door, nothing was out of place except now that there was another card on my desk with an address and a time on it.
