~41 minutes into the drive~
The humming of car engines and rubber meeting asphalt was the only sound filling up the car. Changkyun was sleeping with his mouth wide open that I would think a fly would get in if I had the windows down. Meanwhile, Kihyun was aimlessly looking out the window.
Stealthily, I placed my right hand onto his left hand and held on. Kihyun immediately looks down at our hands blushing. He bites his lip as he stared at our hands before looking at me with loving eyes. I smiled at him momentarily. When I looked back to the road, some asshole cut us off to get into the lane on my right.
As I mentally cursed the fuck out of that guy, Kihyun pats my hand with his other hand to calm me down.
~50 minutes later~
All of us pulled into a rest stop to go to the bathroom and stretch as it was still quite a long drive to Jeju-do. Kihyun rubs at his eyes cutely before yawning. When he caught me staring, he stares back until I looked away. He gets out of the car, and stretches facing away from me which allowed me to look at his cute peach.
"Get that perverted look off your face, old man," Changkyun says suddenly from the backseat.
"Psh, wha~? What perverted look," I scoffed.
"Nice try, but I saw," he snorts before joining Kihyun outside. That little shit...
Just after I got out of the car, I saw Kihyun near the car trying to pet a stray cat while the others went to the bathroom.
"Here, kitty kitty," he coos and wiggles his finger toward the black and white cat. The cat just gives Kihyun a judging look before walking away. Kihyun clicks his tongue before straightening up and saw me when he turned around. "I don't know why cats don't like me. I like them, but they don't like me."
"Maybe, he smelled Mochi on you," I offered.
"Probably," he sighs and walks toward the bathroom.
~three hours later~
I rubbed at my eyes as my eyelids began to droop. Part of me regretted deciding to drive down to Jeju do with everyone and not joining Sulay and Taekwoon on the plane. But, it is all about the experience and...spending alone time with Kihyun. However, someone decided to ruin it. I glared at the suspect who was lost in la la land (A/N: No, not a reference to the movie/play).
From the corner of my eye, I saw Kihyun's head bobbing up and down as he fought to stay awake to keep me company and make sure I didn't fall asleep at the wheel.
"Go to sleep. I will be fine," I told him.
"You sure?"
"Yeah, I got coffee to keep me awake," I said as I lifted up a mug of straight black coffee with a spoonful of sugar and a dash of half and half.
"Good night," he says sleepily before nodding off.
"Night~."
