The day went by pretty fast, we were already on the last class of the day, Music. I was excited for this one, Reece and I had practiced a lot for this. We got called up second last.

"You ready?" Reece asked me.

"Definitely." I said, picking up my guitar.

"Alright, what are you two singing?" Mr. Peters asked.

"Little Do You Know by Alex & Sierra." Reece answered.

"I'm playing guitar and Reece is drumming the cajon." I added.

"Perfect, let's hear it!" Mr. Peters said excitedly.

Reece started, perfectly I might add.

Little do you know how I'm breaking while you fall asleep,

Little do you know I'm tryna pick myself up piece by piece,

Reece sang, looking at me on the last line.

Reece sang, looking down to the ground.

Underneath it all I'm held captive by the hole inside,
I've been holding back for the fear that you might change your mind,

Reece looked back up at me as he sang the last line. I gave him a reassuring smile. I'm never going anywhere.

I'm ready to forgive you but forgetting is a harder fight,

It was my turn to sing now. Reece started to slowly bring the drumming in.

I looked at Reece. He smiled down at the ground shyly. I looked away again.

I looked back up at Reece. He thinks I don't realise it, but I do, and it kills me every night.

Little do you know all my mistakes are slowly drowning me,

I looked back to Reece. He was already watching me, he gave me a sweet smile.
