When you woke up the next morning, you checked the sky to see that it was dawn. The earlier you were to get to Berk, the earlier you were able to warm Hiccup and everyone else what was to come.

The thought filled with you with adrenaline, causing you to wake up Arlo and Midnight. When saddling up to get ready to head for Berk, guilt had consumed you because Midnight wasn't in the condition to be flying at all. Especially since she would be delivering the eggs any day now.

But you needed to try and  prevent a war from happening.

"I promise, when everything is over I will pamper you until you get sick of me." You promised Midnight, as you mounted her.

"I'll hold you to that." She rumbled as pleased purr.

Once Arlo was sitting behind you on the saddle, Midnight had quickly taken flight, heading towards Berk.

You tried to calm your nerves and your anxiety by releasing your breath slowly. Everything was just so overwhelming because you knew that Dagon was going to destroy Berk, but the question that clouded your mind was when?

"Hey, Arlo?" You asked breathlessly, squinting your eyes a bit from the wind. "Do you know when Dagon plans to come to Berk?"

"Tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" You repeated in horror.

"Tomorrow." He confirmed. "He's bringing his people and a dragon army."

"Dragon army?" You voice shook. "What dragon army?"

"I'm not sure," he admitted, shaking his head. "I wasn't told much information. All I know is that he's arriving at Berk tomorrow and all hell will break lose."

"But I didn't see any dragons," you breathed. "How..."

"Neither have I, but he does. He's hiding them, just don't know where or why." He shook his head once more. "Dagon was very secretive on the matters and wanted it quiet, only his closest people know about it."

"The last time there was a dragon army, Drago was controlling them and almost succeeded in destroying Berk." You told Arlo.

"Then Dagon will make sure that he finishes what his brother started." Arlo stated, which made you feel like throwing up.

It felt like it was an eternity, but in reality it taken two hours or so when Berk came into view.

"We're almost there!" You announced, your heart lurching in your chest.

You felt the fire coursing in your veins, and you felt so many emotions and even if you felt like puking, you didn't care. Your hands became clammy and sweaty as you gripped the saddle tightly. Getting to Berk was your top priority.

As the island began to slowly get bigger, Midnight pushed herself further, beating her wings to fly faster.

When reaching the island, Midnight had landed in the middle of Berk. You heard the people's gasps and murmurs, but you didn't pay them mind, because your focus was getting to Hiccup.

As you and Arlo dismounted Midnight, you and Midnight looked everywhere for Hiccup and Toothless.

When searching your surroundings, you quickly spotted a mop of messy auburn hair. And your heart lurched because you knew that hair anywhere.

"Hiccup!" You shouted, running in his direction.

His head quickly snapped up in attention, him getting brief whiplash from the action. His eyes scanned the people of Berk, until his eyes went wide as he too started to run.

You pushed your aching legs to the limit, your heart pounding furiously as you neared him. He was so close.

You both collided into each other quiet roughly, but neither of you minded as you clutched one another.

And being in his arms made you feel at home.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I'm sorry!" You cried in his neck repeatedly, clutching onto his shoulders as you closed your eyes in anguish. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

Hiccup pulled you gently off of him, but still keeping you quite close. He cupped your cheeks, wiping the tears away with his thumbs. "Shh. It's okay, it's okay." He assured you, as you sniffled. "I should be the one to apologize. I'm sorry." His voice wavered, eyes glazing. He leaned his forehead on yours, closing his eyes briefly. "I thought I'll never see you again." He whispered.

"I promised I would come back, didn't I?" You whispered, nose nudging against his.

He huffed a watery laugh as he brought you in a kiss. You quickly responded, bringing him closer.

 Oh, how you missed him.

The kiss was a bit needy, but being apart for so long it made you both crave it like nothing else, but it was still passionate as always.

When pulling away, his forehead rested upon yours. "I missed you."

"I missed you too." You exhaled softly. You groaned inwardly as you taken a step back. You hated to ruin the moment, but you had to. "But we have a problem." His eyebrows furrowed in confusion as you shook your head. "We need to talk in private."

Hiccup nodded, looking over your shoulder to see Midnight and Toothless who were already reunited and nuzzling each other like there was no tomorrow. That's when Arlo caught his eye.

"That's Arlo," you answered Hiccup's unspoken question. "He helped me escape."

"Escape?" Hiccup brows shot up.

"That's what I need to talk to you about." You took another step back to put space between you. "A lot has happened, and we don't have much time. Where's Valka?"

"She's home with Cloudjumper." He replied.

"Okay, we need to head there." You nodded, waving Arlo and the Night Furies over.

Toothless was practically glued to Midnight's side as you all walked together. You quickly introduced Hiccup and Toothless to Arlo when heading closer to the house.

When arriving, you all had went inside. You saw Valka at the table and when she looked up, her eyes went wide. "Oh, [Name]!" She quickly brought you in a tight embrace. "I'm so glad you're here!"

"I am too," you agreed, before pulling back. "But Berk is trouble."

"Berk?" She asked, brows furrowed.

"Berk." You confirmed.
