Liv's phone started to ring, waking her up. She picked up, even though she didn't recognize the number.

"Who is this?" she asked.

"We have a new case." She sighed, of course it was Connor.

"I'll call Hank, he's probably still asleep. Can you meet me at Hank's house?" Liv yawned.

"Yes," Connor said and hung up. She called Hank and told him that they would meet him at his house as she started to get dressed for the day.

----------

Liv stopped in front of an old food truck called Chicken Feed, as per Hank's demand. He went up to the truck to order, but Connor and Liv decided to go with him. Droplets of rain sprinkled on her face as she walked towards the man. He was talking to a shady looking man that she recognized. Hank saw them approaching and quickly handed the money over to him. He left right after. Liv wrinkled up her nose a little, looking disappointed. Hank took his meal, careful to make minimal eye contact with Liv.

"You gamble now? That guy's bad news and you know it, Hank."

"So what?"

"I'm just worried about you. Are things getting bad agai- just talk to me later ok?" she said.

"Yeah," he rolled his eyes, "I'll get on that."

"Let's go, you can eat in the car," Liv ordered.

"It's only a few blocks down the road from here, it shouldn't take long to get there." Connor explained.

"Lieutenant, I must inform you that the meal you are eating contains more than the daily recommended amount of calories and twice the cholesterol." Connor told Hank.

"Hey Connor, why did they make you look so goofy and give you that weird voice?"

"I'm designed to work harmoniously with humans. My appearance and voice are both based on humans, so I can blend in well with them." He explained as he got into the passenger seat.

"Well, they fucked up." Hank smiled and took a large bite out of the burger.

"Is this seriously your idea of breakfast, Hank?" Liv asked. He smiled and took another bite.

----------

"So why are we here exactly?" Hank asked.

"A neighbor reported to hear a strange noise coming from this floor. Nobody's supposed to be living here, but the neighbor said he saw a man hiding an LED under his hat," Connor explained.

"If we had to investigate every time someone heard a strange noise, we'd need more cops."

The abandoned floor was covered in pigeon feathers, the smell of bird feces lingered in the air. Connor determined the feathers to belong to rock pigeons. He knocked on an old wooden door. No answer.

Connor knocked again, "Anybody Home? Detroit Police, open up!"

A loud noise was heard coming from the room, like something large had fallen over. Hank pushed Connor and Liv over to the side, behind him. She kept her hand clutched on to her gun holster stepping behind Connor. Hank drew his gun and raised up his leg. The older man kicked down the door.
