Today was the day. Noah and Liam were getting married, despite how much Liv didn't want them to. Her and Connor got dressed at their hotel room.
"I'm not looking forward to today," Connor said.
"Neither am I. I don't want to see Noah marry that asshole just as much as you," Liv sighed as she grabbed her shoes.
"I don't even see the point in marriage. It seems to be just an unnecessary and expensive event that often fails and ends in divorce, statistically," Connor explained as he looked into the mirror, tying his tie.
"Neither do I, Con."
"Is there really any reason at all to get married?"
"It's supposed to show that you're going to love someone forever and always be with them through everything," Liv said as she put on heels, "And tax benefits."
"Why would you be dating someone if you didn't love them and weren't planning to be with them forever?" he asked as he tightened his tie.
"I don't know. It's all bullshit anyway."
He turned towards Liv, "Do you want to get married one day?"
"Maybe, but I don't need a marriage certificate to show that I'm in love with you. We could wait, or never get married at all and it would be the same to me," she said, "What about you?"
"I don't know. Like you said, maybe one day, but I'd be happy if we didn't too," he said, "You look beautiful."
"You say that a lot, Con."
"I mean it a lot," he said, making her cheeks blush a light purple.
"Well, you look handsome," she stood up and walked over to him.
"You say that a lot," Connor mimicked Liv's voice as he said it. She laughed and playfully punched his shoulder.
"Hey! That's only funny when you do it to other people!" she laughed.
"Then why are you laughing?"
"Shut up!"
"Shut up!" Connor mocked her again.
"I hate you sometimes," she said, trying not to smile but failing to do so. Connor wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to his chest.
"I highly doubt that."

Connor locked arms with Liv as they approached the large estate. The backyard was beautifully decorated for the wedding. There were many guests, although very few we're here for Noah, but rather for Liam. However, one familiar face Liv hadn't wished to see was glaring at her. When Liv noticed her, the woman immediately looked away. Her bleached, platinum blonde hair covered her face from turning her head so fast. Connor managed to see her face long enough to scan her. Making sure to do a deeper search on the woman who was acting so suspiciously.
Thomas, Madeline Rose
Criminal Record: None
Marriage(s): Formerly married to Alexander Thomas.
Children: Noah Thomas
Occupation: Unemployed
“ Noah's mother; Liv's former step-mother. „
Connor's search didn't turn up anything very useful, just more questions. Liv sighed as she saw the woman. She started walking towards her. Connor wasn't sure if they should, but Liv seemed confident in doing so. The situation just seemed to annoy her.
"Olivia, I didn't see you! When did you arrive?" Madeline said, sounded much too happy to see her.
"We just got here. I assumed you would've known that though, since you kept staring at us," Liv stated.
"I truly didn't expect you here, Olivia," her happy expression was gone, and she now looked just as annoyed as Liv. She turned to Connor and reach out her hand, "I'm Madeline Thomas."
Connor shook her hand and quickly let go. Liv rolled her eyes and said, "I see you're still using dad's last name."
"I like still having the same last name as my son."
"Oh, I thought it was because you still wanted people to think you're rich," Liv said, "I'm sure you're happy he's marrying him. Your son marrying someone with a ton of money. That's probably like a dream come true for you."
"Unlike you, your brother isn't making a joke out of your father's name. He's going to be successful and marrying someone that is also going to be successful. I'm surprised you even came here to support him," Madeline said and made Liv visibily furious. She turned to Connor, "I never got your name."
"I'm Connor."
"Just Connor?" she said with a laugh.
"Yes."
"You... don't have a last name?"
"No, I'm just Connor," Connor said. Liv covered her mouth with her hand, trying to conceal a laugh, "I'm an android."
"An android? I assumed you were with no one important, but it's not even human."
"Sorry, Con. She's a bitch," Liv rolled her eyes at her and walked away as she said it, just loud enough for Madeline to hear. She looked around to make sure no one else she didn't want to see was here. She didn't know anyone else, however Noah's friends stopped to say hello to Connor
"Hey, Noah," Liv said as she walked into the room. He jumped up, her words bringing him out of deep thought.
"Last chance to run," she said jokingly, "You look good. Liam's a lucky dude."
"Thanks, Liv," he sounded nervous. His hands trembled a little as he tied his tie.
"You okay?"
"I'm- I'm just a little nervous. I can't believe I'm doing this."
"You sound like you don't want to do this, Noah. What's wrong?" Liv questioned.
"Liam's been different since that night we went to dinner with you and Connor. He's... not the same. I don't know how to explain it, but it's like something has come over him. He's not the same person I fell in love with. I feel like he's hiding something from me. Something important."
"What are you trying to say?"
"Liam keeps sneaking away to make phone calls. I didn't think much about it, but he started getting really defensive when I asked who it was," he paused, "I accidentally heard him talking to whoever it was the other day. Liam kept talking about getting two people.
"I don't know who he needed to get or why, but afterwards I saw him throw away the phone he made the call on. Whatever he's doing, I doubt it's anything good."
"Did you hear anything else?"
"No, no I didn't. Liv," he sighed, "I can't do this."
