"I promise you, they injected me with something in my neck. I don't know if it was some kind of serum or chip or whatever, but it happened."

"Liv, I believe you, but the doctor's have said that they didn't find anything of the sort," Connor said.

"It sounds like you don't."

"I do, but I know there's nothing we can do for the time being. It's not done anything, and Liam and Alexander are smart enough to give you something that they know can't be tracked," Connor explained.

"Yeah, but what if it does have an affect on me?" she asked.

"I'll be there to monitor you. If anything happens, we'll be right back here at the hospital within a couple minutes."

"Ok, Colt- Connor."

"I've been ignoring it, but I'm curious. Why do you almost call me Colton every time you say my name?" Connor asked.

"We had a caretaker android named Colton when I was younger, and you just happen to look very similar to him," she said, "He looked like you, but with curly hair and a lot shorter. He took care of me when I had no one else."

"You never told me, even before you lost your memory."

"Well, my dad killed him, and then brought him back. This happened several times, until one day he didn't make a new Colton," she explained.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be, it was a long time ago," she said, "Let's get out of here. I'm sick of this hospital room."

----------

"I wish I remembered more about you, Connor. You seem nice," Liv said as they approached the apartment. Connor unlocked the door and opened it for her.

"I'm sure you'll remember, eventually. Just give it time."

"Connor," her eyes widened as she looked up at him, "Can you tell me how we met before? How we started dating?"

Connor explained everything that had happened since the day that they met until now. It didn't seem to help her remember anything, but she listened the entire time. She was desperate to learn something about the six years she had missed.

"You seem sweet, Connor. I can see why I fell in love with you. Although, everything you're telling me just sounds like a story, not my actual life," Liv didn't say anything for a while, but eventually broke the silence, "Connor, can you kiss me?"

He was a bit shocked at first, but nodded and leaned in slowly, putting his arms around her waist as he kissed her. She pulled away quickly.

"Sorry, I just thought doing that might help me remember something. I really want to remember you," she said, looking down so she didn't have to look him in the eye.

"You didn't remember anything, did you?" Connor asked, and Liv shook her head, "Liv, you can't expect to get all of your memories back in one day. I'll always be here, whenever you do remember me and everything else. You can't get rid of me that easily. I'd still be here, by your side, if it took you years to remember. I love you."

"I- I love-" Liv started to say.

"You don't have to try to spare my feelings. You don't have to say it back, if you don't mean it. It won't hurt me," Connor said and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, "Don't feel obligated to say it."

"Thanks for understanding."

----------

Liam and Alexander stared at the screens in front of them. They could see everything Liv saw, and right now, they were seeing Connor explain everything to Liv.

"When will we gain control of her?"

"Approximately 24 hours from now, give or take a few hours. I'm still working out a few things with it. Give it a day, and she should be the machine we need her to be," Liam said as he spun around in his computer chair, "Once all the androids are gone, we'll be able to sell all the androids we want."

"If this works, we could forget about androids! This contraption could make war machines; we'd be filthy rich!"

"I have to finish some coding to give her the mission, I'll let you know when everything is finished," Liam said.
