"There may be something we can do for Olivia. It's experimental, but it may work for her."

"What do you mean? You just came here and told us that she's dead. You said they did everything they could," Hank said.

"I'm aware of what I told you, but they've thought of something new. It's an experimental surgery, it's only been done 5 times, and it hasn't worked yet. We would have to replace some of her body with parts similar to an andriod's. AB- is the only blood type that can be mixed with thirium, and that's exactly Olivia's blood type. If this works, not only would it be historic for science, it would bring her back to life."

"So you want her to become a little science experiment? You want to replace half her fucking body, and you aren't even sure it will work." Hank was angry about the way the doctor talked about her, like she was just an experiment.

Connor thought back to the night when Liv had first opened up to him.

"Huh, that doesn't weird you out? You just died, and it just doesn't effect you," she asked him.

"No, it does not," he said.

"Weird. I don't think I could handle being brought back from the dead."

Conflicting Objectives...

Selecting Priority...

Save Liv.

"Lieutenant, Liv's dead. If this doesn't work, then she's still dead. If this gives any chance of her being alive again, I think they should do it. I know you care about her and I do too. I'd do anything to get her back," Connor added in.

Maybe it was just because he wasn't in the right mind, from drinking or finding out his partner was dead or maybe both, but he nodded in agreement. Hank looked over at the doctor, who seemed pleased with their answer.

"Since Olivia can't consent for the surgery, we'll need a close family member to sign off on it," she explained, "Are you her father?"

"No, no I'm not." Hank said.

"Is there anyone who can?" she asked.

Once again, he thought to something Liv had told him. She told him about her family, and she has a brother. He was only her half-sibling, but he had to work, or at least that's what Connor was hoping for.

"Promise me you won't tell anyone about any of this, okay? Not even Hank," she asked.

"I promise," he said.

Conflicting objectives...

Selecting Priority...

Save Liv.

"Lieutenant, Liv told me not to tell you anything about this but it may be important now. When she told me about her family, she mentioned a half-brother named Noah. He seemed to be the only family member that Liv didn't have a bad relationship with, mainly because he was so young the last time she saw him. I did some research and he's enrolled in college here in Detroit. He may sign off on it," Connor said.

"Could her brother work?" Hank asked.

"As long as he's at least 18, it should be fine. He'll have to be here soon, however. The longer we have to wait to start operating, the more of her body may have to be replaced. There's only so much time before the tissues and organs will be dead and unsalvageable. When he's here, we can get his signature at the front desk."

"I'll contact him now," Connor said to Hank. He researched lists of phone numbers of Noah Thomas's in Detroit. It didn't take him long to read the long list and find a Noah Thomas that was the son of Alexander H. Thomas, Liv's father.

He didn't dive too deep into it, but he noticed that Liv's father ran a branch of CyberLife in Columbus. Connor didn't recall Liv saying she had any affiliation with the company that manufactured Androids like him. He ignored the questions he had for now and said nothing to Hank about it.

"Hello," Noah said and yawned.

"Hello, this is Noah Thomas, correct?" Connor asked.

"Yup, that's me. Um, who is this?"

"My name is Connor. I'm calling about your half-sister, Olivia. There's not much time to explain the entire situation, but she's been shot and she needs you to be here. I'm sending you the address of the hospital now."

Connor sent the address to Noah's cellphone.

"Holy shi- Olivia? I'm not too far, I can be there in about 15 minutes," Noah sounded shocked to hear about his sister. He hung up on Connor.

"Noah is on his way," Connor told Hank.

"We're about to have family reunion, aren't we?" Hank asked.

"It seems that way."

"I just hope all of this works."

"Me too."

A few minutes later, a young man walked into the hospital waiting room. He most definitely had been just woken up, but it wasn't his main concern right now. He looked a lot like Liv, both had brown hair, brown eyes, and a sort of heart shaped face. He looked around, trying figure out who it was that called him. Connor approached him, already knowing he was Noah.

"Noah, I'm Connor," he introduced himself.

"How is she?" Noah asked.

"Your sister is... dead, Noah. It's hard to explain the situation, but the doctors here believe that they can bring her back by making her part android. However, Liv is dead and the surgery is experiment, so a family member needs to consent to it. I know it's a lot to ask of you, to choose to sign off on something like this, but I'm begging you to. My partner, Hank, and I both are. We want her back." Connor explained.

"I- she's dead?" he asked, "I'll sign off on it. I don't know her like you two do, I never knew her, but I want to meet her."

"They can give you more information at the front desk, just tell them you're here for Olivia Thomas. They'll have the papers for you to sign there. Thank you, Noah." Connor said.

"Thanks for calling me. I didn't think I'd ever get to see her again."

Noah went to the front desk, and talked to the doctor that had given them information. Connor saw him sign several papers after she was done talking. He felt a sense of relief wash over him. For the first time tonight, he really had hope that she would come out alive. Finally, he could think about seeing her face again, seeing that smile that lit up an entire room, wrapping his hand around hers again, and everything that so many people around told him that he wasn't able to care about.

He felt happy, no matter what Amanda would say.
