"Your new mission is destroy Olivia," Liam ordered to Conan, "She's defied orders."

"I'm not programmed to hurt humans," Conan explained.

"Well, Olivia is an exception. Now do as I said," Liam said, and Liv went outside as quickly as she could.

"As you wish," he said.

Liv snapped back into reality. Whatever Liam injected her with, it had stopped working. She could feel the pain from her knee, and she quickly grew tired as she ran from the android trying to kill her.

Before long, he eventually caught up. Her knee gave in as she stumbled across rocky terrain. She fell to the ground, and saw him looking down on her.

"Just promise me you won't keep following them. If you have to kill me, I at least want you to live your life. Please, just wake up, Conan," she said, now looking up at him.

----------

"Connor has Olivia, Liam," I said, trying to hide the panic in my voice. Although my red LED made my attempt to hide my worry impossible.

At Jericho, when Olivia told me to shoot, something inside me snapped. I realized what I was being forced to do, and that she was too. She told me to run, and I left her there. I can't believe I left her there! Why did I leave her there? I should've got her out too, we both should've left, together. I care about her, but yet I still left her there to be arrested.

Although I didn't want Liam to know I had became deviant, I didn't know who else to turn to to help Olivia. I knew Alexander would only care that they failed their mission. I knew long before I deviated that he didn't care about anyone, and there were no exceptions for us. I hope Liam would care about her at least half as much as I do to help me find her, or even just want her back because of his invention. But he didn't even turn around when I told him, just continuing to tinker with some device on his desk.

"She'll be fine," he said plainly. How could he be so calm now? Surely he realized that if she gave up any information we would all be caught. If not Olivia, at least he would care about hjmself.

"I don't believe you understand the severity of the situation, Liam. Olivia will be arrested. If she gives up any information about any of us, we could-" I said, but was interrupted.

"Conan, I'm aware of what could happen. She's fine." he repeated, a bit louder this time. He turned his chair to face me, "You do realize that I can see everything that you two see? All your memories, interactions, even the error messages and everytime your software becomes a little more unstable.

"Speaking of which, Olivia isn't the one I need to be worried about ratting us out to the cops, am I right, Conan?" Liam asked.

"I don't believe I understand what you mean," I lied.

"Don't play dumb. We both know you are deviant, Conan," Liam said.

"Pardon me, Liam, but I don't think that's important right now," I said with confidence, although I was surprised that I was saying it at all. Was I really standing up to him?

"Oh, Conan. I had so much hope for you," he sighed as he stood up and walked towards me. He reached towards my neck.

"Don't. Touch. Me," I said and swatted his hand away from me, knowing what he was trying to do.

"You don't tell me what to do, Conan. I created you."

"I don't care, Liam! I'm going after Olivia, whether you help me or not. I care about her and I am not going to sit back while she's in a cell, unlike you. I want to go after my friend who needs help," I explained.

"You care about her?" he wrinkled his nose and furrowed his brows in anger, "You obviously need to be reset." He attempted to grab at my neck once again.

"You're not resetting me," I said, threateningly. Without really thinking, I pushed him up against the wall by his desk, holding him by his throat. It was useless to do to someone who didn't need to breath, but it was just an impulsive decision. I let go of him soon after and started walking to the front door.

He picked up what he had been working on on his desk when I first walked in. Pressing a button on it, I felt my whole body tense up. I stopped walking towards the door. I can't move. I can't speak. I can't even blink. My whole body is paralyzed as Liam walks towards me again.

"Oh, Conan. Why'd you have to wake up?" he asked, smirking because he knew I couldn't say anything back, "Well, it won't last much longer. Soon enough you won't remember anything, and you won't have to worry about being a deviant ever again once I fix you."

----------

Well, Liam, you were wrong, Conan thought.

The andriod had deviated once again, not knowing why he did. As soon as she spoke to him, all the memories came flooding back to him. He had only ever heard of Markus doing such a thing to andriods, but here he stood, deviant once again.

He remembered everything from before. Olivia, Liam, Connor, Alexander, those poor andriods at Jericho, everything. His face fell as he realized he had been under Liam's control again. He hated being that way. That wasn't him.

"Olivia, I'm sorry. I was going after you, but Liam-" he started to explain, but stopped him.

"I know, but we need to leave," she said, reaching out her hand towards him and he pulled her back to her feet. He put his arm around her so she could walk a little more easily as they walked. Liv had no idea where they would go now.
