The week of Noah and Liam's wedding approached much faster than Liv wanted it to. Connor couldn't find anything on Liam to convince Noah. All the two could do was hope that it all worked out, but at this point, it didn't seem like it would.

Noah had come over to Liv's apartment a lot over the past few days. She tried to explain in the kindest way she could that she didn't think he should get married, but he didn't budge. This man was arrogant, manipulative, quite a lot older than Noah, and didn't seem to even be in love with him, but Noah couldn't see through his act.

Their wedding was also on the other side of the country, so Connor and Liv decided to leave a couple days before. Before they had to leave, Hank had stopped by her apartment to check up with them.

"So when do you guys have to leave?" Hank asked.

"Our flight boards at 2, so we should probably get going. Sorry that we can't stay long enough to talk," Liv apologized, "It feels like forever since I've seen you."

"Well, things have been pretty fucking nuts for all of us since you quit. Call me when you land, okay kid?" Hank said, "Now go, don't want you two to miss your flight. We'll catch up when you two are back in Detroit."

----------

"Apparently they're getting married at Liam's parents' estate. I'm sure his parents are amazing, considering how fucking wonderful Liam is," Liv said sarcastically as she noticed Connor staring out the airplane window. He obviously wasn't paying much attention to what she was saying.

"You okay, Con?"

"We're... really high up."

"Yeah, are you afraid of heights?"

"Possibly," he said, eyes wide open as he stared out the window.

Liv shut the window and grabbed his hand, "Hey, relax. It'll be alright."

"I wish Noah wasn't going through with this."

"Me too, but there's not much we can do about it now," Liv said, then smiled, "Let's not focus on all that for now, okay? I mean, we're going to Malibu, that's really cool. I've never been, have you?"

"I've never been anywhere outside of Detriot."

"Really? No where at all?"

"I was only created a few months before we met," Connor said, "I haven't had the chance to leave Detroit until now."

"I guess that makes sense, but that just makes this trip so much better though. So let's just try to worry less about Noah and enjoy the change of scenery for a couple days."

"Sorry to change the subject, but when we get back to Detroit, I'd like to take you on a proper date," he mentioned.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, we haven't ever been on a date."

"I took you to the movies that one time. I think that counts, although that day ended in me getting shot, so maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have a do over."

"And next week we'll have been dating for a month."

"A month? So much shit has happened that it's felt like a year. Did we ever even actually say we were dating one day?"

"I've considered the day you were discharged from the hospital to be the day we started dating."

"That makes sense," Liv smiled, "I'll be looking forward to our date then."

The flight wasn't long, despite the distance. After a movie and a few more conversations, they were landed in Malibu. Liam and Noah had paid for a hotel room for them at a place Liv definitely couldn't have afforded on her own. Liv hated the way Liam flaunted his wealth, but she couldn't complain. The hotel was beautiful and their room was the bigger than her apartment. Their luggage was brought up to them by some of the staff.

Connor sat next to Liv on the white, L-shaped couch, putting his arm around her. She checked her phone after making a short phone call to Hank, seeing a few new text messages from Noah.

"Noah's bachelor party is tonight, he wants to know if you want to come," Liv said as she looked up at him.

"Will you also be attending?" he asked.

"Bachelor parties are usually a guys-only thing, Con."

"Oh, then will Liam be there?"

"He's probably having a separate bachelor party, but I can ask?" she said as she started to type on her phone, "No, he's doing his own thing I guess."

"Then yes, I would like to attend."

"Are you sure, Con? As much as I want you to do your own things, it's probably going to be a bunch of guys from his college, and I'd say they'll all be wasted."

"I'm sure, I want to go. Noah's too young to drink anyway, someone has to be responsible in this situation."

"Alright, but make sure you're careful too, okay? I don't know any of his friends, so who knows how they feel about andriods."

"I can take care of myself, Liv."

"I know you can, I'm just reminding you to," she paused, "You should probably get ready. Noah's picking you up in an hour."

----------

"Have fun, Con. I love you," Liv said, leaning forward to kiss him.

"I love you more."

"Doubtful, now stop being cute and go. They're waiting on you."

"Fine," he smiled and kissed her again, "I guess I can 'stop being cute' for a minute."

"Bye, Connor."

"Bye, my love."

"That sounds weird, just call me by my name."

"Bye, mi amor."

"You just said the same thing but in French."

"Bye, sweetheart."

"God, now you sound like Gavin. Would you just go already?" Liv laughed as she said it, trying to push him towards the door but failed to do so.

"Bye, Olivia Raine."

"I can deal with it," Liv said in defeat before he kissed her goodbye. He walked out of their hotel room and to the elevator. He pulled out his coin, and started to roll it across his fingers.

The elevator stopped on the first floor and he saw Noah and a few of his friends in his car. He stood there for a moment, analyzing them. He didn't get a bad feeling about any of them, not like Liam, but he promised Liv that he'd be careful.

"Connor!" Noah yelled, his head poking out of the open sun roof, "Are you coming?"
