"I missed you too, Con," Liv said as she hugged him, "There's something we need to talk about."
"Yeah, of course. Come in," Connor said awkwardly, almost as he was nervous about what she had to say to him. Olivia really had messed with his trust in people, although he wouldn't ever admit, but Liv could tell.
"Is Hank home?" she asked.
"No, he's working late at the station. He's trying to get a confession out of Gavin. I already tried, but I couldn't get anything out of him," Connor explained as he sat down on the couch.
"Why are you questioning him?"
"I assumed part of this was because of him. You used his keycard and password to steal guns from the station."
"Gavin only gave her his key because she threatened him, but that's the only involvement he had in any of this. It wasn't him; it was Liam and my dad," Liv explained.
"Hank said to make sure I wasn't falsely accusing him after what I saw; I should have listened," Connor said. She grimaced at thought of making out with Gavin to get that key card.
"We have to go the station. They've got to tell them the truth," Liv said, starting to feel a little guilty. He was a good guy, and he didn't deserve to spend another night in jail.
"I don't think one more night in a cell would hurt him, might even do him some good," Connor joked.
"Connor!"
"What?"
"You're just saying that because you don't like him, Con," she said as he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her a little closer to him.
"Maybe, but I'm also just saying it because I just want to be with you right now. Maybe I'm saying it because I've missed being with you; just you and me."
"Gavin's innocent. He doesn't deserve to spend another night at the station," Liv didn't back down. As much as she wanted the same thing, she wanted all of this sorted out. She decided to let him have this moment a little longer, and talk about Conan on their way to the station.
"Alright, but we seriously need to talk about all of this."
"I can try to clear things up for you, but we really should be leaving."
----------
"Con, I need to talk to you about Conan," Liv said as they sat down in the taxi. Connor typed in the address of the police station.
"I've heard plenty about them the past few days; I want to here about you, for just a minute. When did you get your memory back?" Connor asked. She just shook her head a little.
"It's important," Liv said, avoiding his question, "Conan, he's deviated. That's how I'm talking to you right now. If he hadn't deviated, I'd be dead. He's been under the control of Liam, taking orders from him and my dad. But he's different now."
"What are you trying to get at, Liv?"
"Markus forgave us after we led the cops right to Jericho and tried to kill him. And I think Conan deserves to be forgiven too," Liv said.
"You're insane!"
"He was being manipulated! Just like I was, and just like how CyberLife controlled you. Why do we deserve to be trusted and he doesn't?" Liv asked.
"Because- because I didn't try to kill innocent people!" Connor defended.
"Really? Have you forgotten where we started? Because we hurt a lot of androids, and we led police straight to Jericho, and they slaughtered most of them," Liv said, "He was doing what he was told to do. Just like you."
