Connor fired his gun at Olivia. The bullet hit her knee, causing her to fall to the side and dropping her gun as she did. She cursed under her breath.

Markus grabbed her gun before she could. Conan still had his gun trained on the deviants, but had yet to fire a shot. Connor quickly focused the gun on him.

"Don't shoot him," Olivia said as she got the detenator out of her pocket, "Shoot him and I'll blow this whole building up. He dies, then we all do."

"You won't do that Olivia."

"I will, without a single regret."

"Tell him to stop, and I won't shoot," Connor said.

"No."

"I've shot you once, Olivia. If I have to again, this time it will be fatal," Connor threatened, "Now I'll ask you again to call him off."

"I'm the one with a detonator in my hand. If anyone should be making demands, it's me." Olivia said, "The only thing playing against me right now is that you shot my leg."

"Call him off, Olivia," he said, "Before anyone is hurt."

"I don't think I will," she said, looking down at the purple blood pooling around her leg and winced.

"Connor, I'll only do what is strictly necessary to accomplish my mission. You decide if that includes all of us going down in flames," Olivia explained. Connor ignored what she said, and his gun trained on the man that was almost a perfect clone of him.

"Stop!" Liam said as he brought Olivia into her mind palace to speak to her.

"I have no reason to. I have the upper hand, Liam. I can accomplish my mission!" Olivia said, "He won't shoot him, not when he knows I can blow up the entire building."

"You're supposed to listen to my orders!" Liam yelled, "Connor contacted the police when you were in the car. You two need to get out of here."

"Then I'll blow it up! We can all burn down with this building!"

"No, just find a way for the two of you to get out of there. Soon."

"If I tell Conan to stop, I want to get out of here. I'm not getting arrested. Get us to the car and we'll be leaving," Olivia demanded.

"Alright, I can do that. Hand him the detonator," Connor said. Olivia knew he was probably lying, but she had to agree to it because of Liam's instructions. She wasn't sure why he wanted such a thing, considering he was the one always pushing her to do whatever it takes to accomplish the mission. She handed the detonator to Markus.

"Conan, run away!" Olivia yelled to her partner. He looked at her for a split second, but immediately ran out of the church after.

"Watch her!" Connor said to Markus and North before running after Conan.

"Yeah, because I really need a babysitter. What am I gonna do, speed crawl my way out of here? Aggressively hop out of this church?" Olivia scoffed as she saw Connor throw open the door of the church as he ran out.

"I should've blew this place up when I had the chance," she said, which was a remark she was sure would make Liam mad at her. Markus and North were furious about her saying that too, but she didn't care about their opinions.

"What's wrong with you?" Markus said, hurt and furious at the death of several of his people.

"Markus-" North started to say, pushing him away from her.

"No! I want to know how the hell you could do such a thing?!" Markus pushed North's arm away from him, and got closer to Olivia. He got in her face as she just laughed, "Why? Why would you do this? These people trusted you!"

"I wasn't programmed to give a fuck, Markus," she said as she laughed. Markus picked her up by her jacket, and she rose up from the floor. She smirked.

"You son of a-" Markus started to say, but was interrupted by North.

"Markus, go check on your people. I've got this," she said, and he knew that he should. They needed his support right now. He sit her back down on the ground.

Once he was away, North dragged her over behind a pillar next to an emergency exit. She opened the door, and helped her stand to go outside.

"Don't make me regret doing this, Liv," she said.

"Trust me, you will." She left the scene as quickly as she could with her injury.
