Hank went first questioning the deviant. Meanwhile, Connor went to questioning Liv instead.
"Why were you upset last night?"
"What do you mean?"
"You left rather quickly and you seemed upset for some unknown reason. If it was my doing, I apologize."
"I wasn't upset."
"Are you sure because it seemed li-"
"I said I wasn't," Liv snapped, "Sorry, it's nothing. It's just that I probably made things worse with Hank, plus I've had some other things on my mind too. I don't really want to talk about it."
Connor didn't say anything and just stood idle until Hank came back in.
"I'm not getting anywhere with it," Hank said, and as soon as he did, Gavin walked in.
"Well, you could try roughing it up a little. Oh, hey Olivia," Gavin said, his tone completely changing once he realized Liv was here too.
"What are you doing here?" She asked as he leaned up against the wall next to her.
"Just seeing what my partner's up to."
"Well, Chris isn't here."
"Captain hasn't told you yet? It's me and you now that Anderson has the android."
She immediately left the room and headed for the Captain's office. She knocked on the door briefly before letting herself in.
"Thomas! I was just about to call you down here; we need to talk."
"Did you partner me with Gavin?"
"Yes, that's what I needed to talk to you about. With Hank having the andriod now and Gavin can't work with anyone, except the two of you seem to get along, so I think you'll make a good team. I'm putting the two of you on homicide. Frankly, these cases will be a much better fit for you in my opinion."
"Sir, I want to work on the deviant cases. Lieutenant Anderson doesn't seem to want to work on it anyway, and I'm one of the few here that doesn't mind working with Connor."
"Alright. I guess I can partner Chen and Reed, but only because I agree with you. Hank will end up killing that android. I'll leave you on the case, but Anderson is staying too."
"Why? He doesn't like Connor, or these cases, or doing work in general. These cases are too important to give to someone who won't put there full effort into it."
"I agree, but you don't have the experience to lead a case yet. If you can keep Hank in line and solve this case, it could get you anywhere you want to be. This is a major opportunity for you, Thomas."
"Thank you, sir." She started to leave, but the captain started to speak again.
"And Thomas, you're a good detective, don't screw this up."
"I assure you I won't, Captain." Liv returned to the interrogation room where Connor, Hank, and Gavin were discussing how to interrogate the deviant.
"If you think I'm gonna let this glorified smartphone interrogate that thing, you're st- oh hey, Olivia," Gavin said, changing his tone again, as if she didn't here him just before.
