The flight seemed to last forever, much longer than Liv had wanted it to last. She would look out the window and recall when Connor and her were going to Noah's wedding. She wasn't sure why it stuck with her, but she just kept remembering him first realizing he was scared of heights, or when he realized how different places looked outside of Detroit. That didn't matter right now, but it's all she thought about. She just wished there were a way to keep him safe and still have him here with her.

"How are you sure that Connor won't know where we went? He's-" Liv was interrupted by Gavin.

"We can't talk about this now," Gavin said, "We'll talk when we land."

So the rest of the flight was silent and it just gave Liv more opportunity to think about what this would be like. She had never been to Nevada before, but sadly that was the only positive to this that she could think of. Instead she thought that if Connor were here he could've thought of more positives than her and told her a million facts about the state.

Once they landed, they immediately went to changing their appearances. They went to a hair salon where Liv cut her hair short and then was bleached to be a natural blonde color. Gavin's hair was cut as well, and his face was clean shaven. Then, they both had to buy new clothes, things that they wouldn't normally wear, before they finally went to the house they would be living in.

It was a nice, just a little small for a house. She couldn't complain though, as it was still bigger and nicer than her apartment.

Once they went in, someone was already inside waiting on them. Gavin introduced the two of them.

"Hello Liv, it's nice to meet you. I'm Zara Hutchings, the US Marshal assigned to your case. I'll always be nearby if you're in danger, or need anything at all. However, first, we'll need to sort out a few things about your living situation here," she said. Liv thought she seemed nice, stern maybe, but nice enough.

"To live here, undetected, you'll have to learn to lie about everything. No one can know the truth about you, no matter how well you trust them, do you understand?" Zara asked, and Liv nodded.

"Good. Here's your new cellphone, ID, social security number, and insurance cards. Your cellphone is already set up through the marshal service so no one will be able to track it. Your ID, social security number, and insurance cards are updated to the name you'll be using while you're here. I'll be keeping all your old cards and identification for safe keeping."

"Lauren Reece?" Liv read the name aloud.

"That's you. My number is on speed dial on your phone if you ever need to reach me. I'll never be too far away from you, so you have no reason to worry," she said.

"And Fowler is allowing me to stay with you and go undercover, so hopefully we can catch him soon, and we'll be back home before we know it."

"Now let's go over things about 'yourself'," Zara laid a packet of papers in front of her, "This includes everything about 'you', in case you ever forget something. You came to Wisconsin for a fresh start after your husband left you. Before you came here, you lived in New York City and were owned your own clothing store.

"Your parents are Brian and Dianne Reese. You don't have any siblings. Your childhood was uneventful, but good," she said, "And Gavin is David Lewis, your boyfriend."

"Anything else I should know?" Liv asked.

"Stay low. Try not to make a scene anywhere and you'll do just fine here, and keep that packet put away. Anyone finding that would be a dead give away of what's going on," Zara said, and Liv nodded. Zara showed Liv a safe in the house that could be used to keep information about her hidden inside the house. Zara, Liv, and Gavin knew the code, but no one else would.

"Overall, we want you to live as normally as you possibly can, but remember that our main goal is to keep you safe," Zara said, tucking a piece of dark curly hair behind her ear.

"Well, I'll let you two get settled in and you'll be seeing me again soon," Zara shook Liv's hand before walking out the door.

Gavin, who had been silent most of the day, so Liv tried to make conversation.

"Gavin, you never told me how you're sure Connor won't be looking for me?" Liv asked.

"I left a note that said you didn't want to go through with the wedding, it's fine."

"You left a note? In your handwriting?" Liv asked and Gavin nodded, "Oh my God you're so stupid. He'll know I didn't write that note! And what about North?"

"Who's North?" Gavin asked.

"The woman I was talking to before you walked in. She knew we were together before the two of us were gone. If Connor and North put what they know together- Gavin, it could ruin all of this."

"Shit."
