The entire car ride Liv could only think of one thing; kissing Connor again. She wanted nothing more than feel his arms wrapped around her and feel the sensation of his lips against hers again. All she wanted was to kiss him over and over again, which was making the trip to her apartment seem like an eternity.
Once they finally got to her apartment building, Liv wasted no time getting out. Connor trailed behind, much slower than Liv. Hank waved them goodbye but neither payed attention.
Hank drove off as they went inside, going upstairs to her apartment. Liv already had the key in her hand, quickly unlocking the door. Once they were inside, she closed the door and latching it. No one was going to interrupt them this time.
"Liv, about what happened today," Connor said, watching Liv take off her coat and put it on the coat rack. Once she was done, she grabbed Connor by his tie, drawing him closer. As she was positioned against the wall, he put his face closer to hers. Their foreheads touched. Liv smirked as she looked up at the andriod. Shivers shot down his spine as she slid his jacket off of his shoulders.
"What about today?"
"I think we should do it more often," he said, immediately leaning in closer into a long, smooth kiss. His hands gripped on to her waist, going under the fabric of her shirt and touching her skin. Chills ran through her body from the touch. Her arms wrapped around his neck and her hands making their way up to his hair. She twirled it in her fingers. Connor bit her bottom lip. His action took her surprise, and she tugged at piece of his hair because of it.
The kiss had been going on for a while, both not wanting the moment to end. Finally, Liv reluctantly pulled away.
"That was, um, nice," Connor said.
"Yeah," she said, "I'm gonna go take a shower."
Liv went to the bathroom and shut the door. As she began to undress, she realized how different she looked. Her new body looks so plain. No scars, no stretch marks, not even any little hairs on her legs, except for her left arm and her face. Her stomach was completely flat now, and although it was something she had wanted before, now it just felt out of place and looked unnatural. She was starting out with a brand new body, and the thought of that filled her with an odd feeling like sadness, or emptiness.
She didn't spend much longer looking at herself in the mirror. Instead she quickly got in the shower. The thought popped into her head after she turned the water on that her new body was robotic, and possibly not waterproof. Quickly she found out it was, which was a slight relief.
She got out of the shower and got dressed. The clothes were a little more baggier on her than they were the last time she wore them. Liv left the bathroom, now dressed in a t-shirt and sweat pants with her wet hair pulled into a bun.
Connor was sat on the couch, patiently waiting on her. Liv sat next to him and turned on the TV. She put it on a horror movie.
"Why do enjoy being scared so much?" he asked.
"I don't know, you don't?"
"No, not really."
"Well, would you rather watch a romance?" she said, jokingly.
"Sure, I've never seen a romance film."
"Oh, ok. I was joking but if that's what you want to watch," Liv said as she changed to a different movie. They sat in silence, enjoying the movie.
"Do people really fall in love that easily?" Connor asked.
"It might shock you, but most people don't fall in love like we did."
Connor smiled at her after what she said. She looked up at him in confusion.
"What are you smiling about?"
"You said 'fall in love like we did'."
Liv blushed, her face turning a faint purple color. She realized her mistake and frustratedly said, "No, I didn't."
"Yes, you did."
"No, you must of heard me wrong."
"I'm sure I heard you correctly."
"Shut up."
"Never," Connor said as he wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer to him and kissing her.
"I'm exhausted. I'd better get to bed or I'll be dead tired at work tommorrow," she yawned and stood up.
"You're not going to work tommorrow."
"Yeah, I am. Why wouldn't I?"
"You just got out of the hospital, Liv. You can't go back yet."
"I'm a cyborg now! I'm fine, better than ever!"
"Yes, but everyone at the DPD just knows that you were shot. It's going to be suspicious if you show up at work tomorrow completely fine, unless you want people to know. Either way, I believe it would be beneficial for you to stay home for at least a few days."
"I guess you're right," she said.
"We have no leads on the investigation, anyway," Connor added in, "You will not be missing anything substantial."
"About that, I was thinking earlier about who might know anything about where the deviants are hiding. He left CyberLife years ago, but he might know something."
"Who?"
"Elijah Kamski. He founded CyberLife, and he's an old friend of sorts. My dad worked with him occasionally, and I've met him a few times because of it."
"I'll notify Lieutenant Anderson and see if we can meet with him tomorrow."
"Alright, goodnight."
"Goodnight, Liv."
