Liv had her hand wrapped around Connor's, closing her eyes and leaning towards him. Her warm breath brushed against his skin as she got closer to him. He closed his eyes, forgetting about their hands being intertwined. Her artificial skin was gone, showing the plastic her arm was made of. Neither of them noticed. Their lips were almost together when Hank entered the room.

"I'm gonna pretend I didn't see that," Hank said, smiling at the young woman, "How are you, kiddo?"

"I've been better," she said as she moved away from Connor. She tried propping herself up again, making a terrible face as she did. Connor noticed their hands, and quickly removed his from hers, and he hoped she didn't notice. A nurse entered the room, asking Liv a few questions as he put something for her pain into her IV. The nurse didn't say anything to Liv about what happened to her. He left soon after.

"Connor, can I talk to you for a moment?" Hank asked. The two went outside of the room.

"They think it would be best for us to explain to her that she's part andriod now. You should tell her, I think she'll take it better from you than me."

"Have you contacted Noah yet?"

"Yeah, he said he'd be here tomorrow. But she needs to know today, about everything. She deserves to know."

"Alright." Connor went back into her room, with Hank following close behind. He went back to the chair beside her, and Hank sat down in the chair beside Connor.

"What were you talking about?" she asked.

"We can talk about it later," Connor said.

"Okay." The young woman smiled at the two of them. The moment didn't last long, as Liv was once again in a lot of pain. She scunched up her face.

"Fuck," she said, "Everything fucking hurts."

"They just gave you morphine, it should start working in a minute," Hank said.

"I hope so."

"Liv, we need to tell you something," Connor said as he put his hand on the side of the hospital bed.

"What is it?" Liv put her hand on top of his. Their plastic hands started to show as their skin removed itself. This time, she noticed. Staring at their hands in confusion with wide eyes.

"What?" she said, "What's going on?"

"Liv, when you were shot, they took you into surgery and you didn't make it."

"What do you mean? I'm right here, I'm alive," she smiled as if she had just been told a joke, but no one was laughing.

"You weren't. You were dead, Liv. One of the doctors that was operating on you told me and Hank that they might be able to get you back, by making you part android. They had to replace most of your body with android parts to give you a chance to live again. Your human blood could be mixed with thirium, and your heart pumps both into your body now."

"So I'm some kind of cyborg?"

"Technically, yes. You're the first person that the operation has ever worked on."

"I'm supposed to be dead."

"No, you're here. You're alive, Liv," he smiled at her."

"But I'm not supposed to be," she jerked her hand away from his, "No one said they could do this to me!"

"Actually," Connor said.

"What do you mean? What did you two do?"

"Kid, we didn't do anything. Sure, both of us wanted to sign off on it, but we couldn't," Hank said.

"Then who did?"

"Connor called your brother."

"Noah? That's impossible. He was three the last time he seen me. I doubt he even remembers me."

"It's true. I called him, and he told them that they could do the surgery. You're right, he didn't remember much about you, but he wanted to meet you. That's why he did it."

"I wanted to live, but not like this. No one should have been playing God with my life," she looked at the men beside her, "This feels wrong."

Liv \/

"It was the only way to get you back, Liv."

"Maybe I shouldn't have come back. This body isn't mine, it's not what I'm supposed to be. Humans aren't supposed to come back, Connor. Just because you did, doesn't mean I should."

"Liv,"

"I'm sorry if I upsetted you guys, but you should have left me be. You mourn and you get over it, like how it should be," she said, and suddenly put her hands against her head.

"IT HURTS! MAKE IT STOP!" she screamed. Blood rushed to her face as she scrunched up her face again, it would have been red, but the mix of blue blood and human blood made her face have a purple tint. The purple blood began to pool around her mouth and drip from her nose. She continued to scream, digging her nails into her skin. Hank ran down the hallway to get a nurse. Connor grabbed on to her hand, trying to get her to calm down.

"GET OFF OF ME!" she cried.

Stress level: 93%

Connor was dragged away from her and taken out of the room. They closed the curtain so no one could see into the glass door, but they could still hear her screams.
