After the music festival, the restuarants Noah's friends insisted on stopping at, and the car rides in between, Connor was completely wasted. He stumbled anytime he tried to walk, so Noah had to take him up to his hotel room.
"I need another shot," Connor said, slurring his words a little.
"Trust me, you definitely don't," Noah said as he put the andriods arm around his shoulder. It was a struggle for the young man to try to carry him around. They got into the elevator, Noah trying to keep Connor upright as he pushed the button to go to the 19th floor. Noah hoped it was the right room, because Connor wasn't helping him remember the room number at all.
He knocked on the door, and Liv opened it a moment later. Her eyes were barely open, her hair was a mess, and she was dressed in a long black T-shirt. Obviously, he had just woken her up.
"It's 3 AM," Liv said and yawned.
"Sorry," Noah apologized as he leaned Connor against the wall outside the door, not being able to lift him any longer.
"Did you guys at least have fun? Where's Connor at?"
"Some of us had more fun than others," Noah said, lifting up Connor again to bring him inside and sat him on the couch.
"What's up with him?" she asked.
"He's drunk."
"No, Connor can't drink."
"I was just as surprised as you are, but he definitely can," Noah said, "I've got to go, but good luck with all this."
"Since when can you drink, Con?" Liv asked as Noah left their room.
"I got an upgrade and didn't tell you," he explained with a smile.
"You did?"
"Yeah, but shhh it's a secret. I don't want you to know," he put his finger up to his lips. He started to take his shoes off.
"Whatever, we'll talk about it tomorrow. I'm dead tired so I'm going to bed," Liv said and turned towards the bedroom. Connor got up from the couch, then ran across the wooden floors, sliding in his socks. He ran into the wall with a loud thud.
"Ow," he said as he rubbed his head.
"Connor, please just go to bed already."
"I'm not tired."
"You're never tired."
"Exactly," he paused, "but I guess I will."
Connor went into the bedroom in the hotel room and laid next to Liv. Liv pulled the blanket over herself and started to doze off until he started talking again.
"Liv, I fucking love you!"
"Connor, I love you too, but please shut up."
"But I wanna talk to you!"
"We can talk in the morning," she said as she turned away from him. Connor got closer to her, wrapping his arms and legs around her.
"It is morning."
"3 AM is not what I meant, Con. Why couldn't CyberLife just make a normal robot? Did they have to make an andriod able to get drunk? No." Liv said under her breath as Connor buried his face in the crook of her neck. He placed warm kisses down her neck. She was so close to him, and could smell the alcohol on his breath.
"Connor, please let me sleep."
"I love you, ma chèrie," Connor said, continuing to kiss her neck.
"Can you please like go into idle mode or turn yourself off or something?" Liv said, desperately trying to get some sleep.
"Alright. Approximately 1 minute until shut down."
"Wait, no! Cancel! That's not what I meant!" Liv jumped up at his words.
"Ha! Your face!" Connor said, revealing it to be a joke. She punched him in the arm.
"I hate you."
"No you don't."
"I'm begging you, please let me sleep. You don't have to lay here, you can go do whatever you want in the hotel room. Just be quiet, please," Liv said as she layed back down in bed. Connor decided to stay beside her with his arm around her waist. It didn't take long for her to go to sleep. He stayed quiet, just watching her peacefully. His face was still in the crook of her neck. It was nice to be cuddled up next to her.
"I love you, Liv,"
"Love you too, Con," she muttered, just barely awake. Connor decided not to bother her for as long as he could stand to, and let her sleep peacefully. He could hear her very faint and light snores being this close to her. Strands of her brown hair rested on his face and he smiled.
"Liv, did you know that the mitochodria is the power house of the cell?" Connor whispered and laughed, much too close to her ear and woke her up.
"CONNOR IT'S 4 AM, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LET ME SLEEP!"
"Well it is," Connor said.
"I knew that," Liv exhaled loudly.
"Because I just told you?"
"No, because everyone knows that!"
"I didn't," he said, "Noah's friend told me, and I thought you'd think it was interesting."
"Well you can tell me all about it when I wake up."
"Aw, but I wanted to tell you now!"
"Connor, for the love of God," she begged, "Just be quiet. I'm jetlagged, and I'm exhausted."
"Then you should sleep."
"That's what I'm trying to do!"
"Then why are you still awake?"
Liv sighed, deciding to ignore him. She hoped to get at least enough sleep to function later today, but at this point it seemed doubtful.
