No deviant cases had been assigned to them, so Liv took the opportunity to sleep in. Connor had stayed with her that night, sitting in the chair by her side once again. He knew that everything wasn't completely fine between them still, despite the return of Liv's welcoming attitude towards him. She would need time, but Connor wanted to make it up to her. He wanted to make her breakfast, but her fridge was almost empty. The thought of going to get something for her ran through his head, but he deemed it a bad idea. If she woke up while he was gone, she might think he had left again. Instead, he just stayed by her, wondering on how to spend the day.

Liv started to move around a little, slowly waking up. She pushed her self up so that she was sitting upright in the bed. Her hair was a mess from tossing and turning in her sleep. Finally, she opened her eyes and was fully awake, after rubbing her eyes for a second.

"Good morning," Connor said.

"Oh, hey, I almost forgot you were here. Good morning."

"I was going to make breakfast, however your kitchen is almost completely empty, so get dressed," Connor instructed.

"Yeah, I haven't gotten around to going to the store. Wait, why do I have to get ready?" Liv questioned.

"I wanted to take you somewhere to get breakfast."

"You don't have to do that, Connor. If this is about last night, I told you that I forgive you. You don't have to make it up to me or whatever."

"I want to."

"Fine, I don't usually eat breakfast though. I guess you don't either though. Maybe just coffee?" Liv gave in, seeing that he wasn't going to let her just stay home.

"Alright." Connor exited her room and waited for her to get ready. He rolled his quarter along his knuckles as he waited. She didn't take long, coming out of her room with a smile plastered on her face. Her outfit was much more casual than what he usually saw her wear. She put on her coat and was ready to leave.

About a block away from her apartment was a nice cafe, so they walked there. They stood outside of it for a moment, but Liv never opened the door. Connor looked puzzled. He reached for the door himself, but she stopped him.

"Connor, to be honest with you, I fucking hate coffee," Liv laughed, "However, I still want to spend the day with you. Let's do something fun!"

"What do you want to do?" he asked.

"What's something you've always wanted to do?"

"I don't know."

"Come on, there's got to be something you want to do! And don't try to fool me with that 'andriods don't want anything' crap. What do you want to do?"

"It may be difficult for you to understand, but I really don't have any interests. I'd like to though. What is something you enjoy doing?"

"I know the perfect place, but it's not open yet. They open in a few hours. You're going to love it," Liv smiled.

Around noon, Liv drove them to a large building. Bright lights flashed on a sign that said it was an arcade and movie theater. It was one of the few places like it in Detroit that allowed andriods.

"I used to come here a lot. Friday nights they play old movies, tonight's one of my favorites."

They went inside the bright building, being greeted by even more overwhelming lights. The retro building was packed with old arcade games. Not many people were there. Liv led him closer to the middle of the building where the theater was located. She payed for their tickets and they sat in the middle of an empty theater.

"Having the entire theater to yourself is the best way to watch a movie." Liv turned to Connor, smiling as she looked into his dark brown eyes. The lights had dimmed over them and the movie began to play. Liv had picked out a horror film for them.

Occasionally, Connor jumped up in his seat a little when something scary popped up on screen. She would just smile and lean her head against his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her.

The film ended rather abruptly, not showing what happened to the main character. Connor questioned it, but Liv said it was to scare the people watching. They want people to leave being scared that something is after them too.

"That movie scared the shit out of me when I was a kid," Liv confessed, "Anyways, did you like it?"

"I thought it was a good film. It was enjoyable." Connor got up from his seat and so did Liv.

"I'm glad." They made their way out of the theater and then out to the parking lot. Liv stopped in front of her car. He turned around, staring at the young woman who was looking at her feet.

"Connor, um, I'm- I'm,"

"What's wrong, Liv?" He asked with a look of concern. She turned her head up, looking up at him. His dark brown eyes peirced hers.

Liv couldn't help but notice things about her partner that she hadn't before. Like his eyes, that were usually a dark, deep shade of brown; but now that the sun was reflecting off of them, they looked completely different. The brown had melted into golden rays circulating his pupils. Two eyes the color of copper and honey, or rain hitting the freshly turned earth. They were sunsets.

And then his hair. How a little piece hung down, blowing in the breeze. The way light bounced off of the dark color, reflecting it towards her.

Connor walked closer to Liv, the two of them now having very minimal space between them. She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Instead, she leaned in closer to him, standing on her toes to give herself more height. His LED flashed between yellow and red as she kissed him on his cheek.

"Connor, I-," Liv looked panicked over her action that took both of them by surprise.

"Liv, it's fine. I just didn't expect it, that's all," Connor said before his LED began to flash between blue and yellow again, "We have a case, it's important."

"Let's get going then." Liv got into the driver's seat of her car. Connor got into the passenger side, running a diagnostic scan on himself.
