Rookinite One-Shots

I'm So Sorry

Infinite's Pov:
"Rookie! NO!" Sonic exclaimed as Gadget hit each branch until he hit the ground. Gadget found me and wanted to battle me as to avenge his friends that I murdered. I told him that we should fight fairly so, I gave him the power of flight using the Phantom Ruby. He fought and fought until he felt pain being inflicted from the many cuts, bruises, and scars were left behind. He was so distracted that I managed to beat him until he fell from both weakness and exhaustion.

As much as Dr.Eggman laughed the victory of mine, I sliently floated downwards to get a better view of Rookie. "Don't touch him! You'll PAY for this!" Sonic reacted to my gesture as he picked up Gadget and ran to his base. "Let's go Infinite. There is so much to do. That one defeat was only the first step of distracting Sonic." Eggman said and flew off with his machine, I breathed for moment until I flew off with as well. That is unless not looking back every five minutes.

"I shall be out for the night to see if I can defeat any other members of the Resistence." I lied to the doctor as I grabbed the door knob. "Good but, be back in the morning." Eggman said sternly and went back to creating more plans. I opened the door and flew towards the Resistance's base. Only one thing was on my mind, it was Gadget or Rookie. The only reason I went easy with him is because I love him. He is the first person I ever loved and want to care for.

Although, being a villain didn't help with my little love problem. In fact, it worsened it by making Rookie afraid of me. I just want to confess to him, to hold him, to tell him everything is okay. I probably failed as I basically made him go into a coma. As well as, murder all of his friends and torture his idol, Sonic. The last one ticked me off, he cared about Sonic so much. What does that blue imbecile have that I don't have? Why does Gadget care so much for him?

I reached the base and called out for my clones who quickly responded. "Go on and attack the Resistence." I ordered to which they followed. I immediately hid behind a nearby tree and saw each member get out and fight. I flew to the base and peeked through one of the windows. I peeked through each one until I saw a sleeping Rookie and began hitting the window until it broke. I looked at the battle to see if anyone noticed the sound but, everyone was to busy with their attacks even Sonic.

I took the chance and slowly climbed in the room. I looked at Gadget who was asleep in a coma, his bruises still there but, healing meaning someone was caring for him. I picked him bridal style and stared at him. Gadget is my crush and this is what I did to him. I felt a tear prick my eyes and I let myself cry. I needed to and deserved to. "I'm so sorry..." I mumbled to Gadget as I held him closer. I carefully set him down and I slightly took off mask to set a small kiss on his forehead.

I put my mask back on and began to climb out the window. I flew back to my base and let ny heartbroken self hide inside me once again.

"I love you, Gadget."
