His Voice

Infinite's Pov:
"Weak and pathetic as always. You and your little group failed." I stated, I looked around me to see rocks on the ground, buildings crumbling, and more importantly a few Resistance members down. Sonic stood his ground along with his younger self who were covered in dirt and scratches. I noticed that they were smiling which confused me as I won this battle. "Why are you smiling, you blue idiot." I asked, slowly landing towards the ground. I heard Sonic chuckle while his younger self smiled at my question. I was getting a little irritated by their amused looks, I was about to yell until Sonic finally answered.

"Infinite, I'm not sure if you know but, this is war. Each team will have victories and losses. That's how it works." Sonic explained, I scoffed at his answer and flew upwards. "That's not how war works. You'll more losses than you can ever imagine. Whether it be on the battlefield or not." I replied and flew away from the place. I sighed as I knew Eggman would have another task for me, a task which included spying and stealing as always. I heard crying and stopped flying, I listened to where the crying may be at. I flew towards the direction the voice and slowly hid behind a rock which fell from a previous battle I had.

"Calm down, Fuschia." I heard another voice say, one female and one male. "G-Gadget? Can I hear you sing again?" She asked, I looked more closely to see who they might be. It was that pink cat and red wolf I fought once, they were part of the Resistance but, why are they here? "I guess.." He mumbled, he seemed so shy at agreeing to sing. "I want to see the war end. I want to see peace rise again. What can I do to help it rise? Fight back and have pride." Gadget sings, I was taken back by his vocals and I wanted to listen some more. I sat against the rock and took off my mask to listen better. "One day, we'll go out and play. Hear children laugh and see the sun shine." He continues, I sigh as I begin to imagine what he said.

"One day, we'll see families giving some love. Parents will be filled with glee as their bundle of joy is born. One day, we'll see the war end and everything will go back to being good." He ends his song, I quickly put on my mask and fly away. Gadget is a really great singer and not to mention looks pretty adorable. His voice is so soothing and calm, I feel much more stress-free than before. Maybe, I should try to hear more of his voice. Maybe, I should try and consider making the world into what he sang.
